But I gave a 'standard' overclock which with all other drivers never had problem. Obviously there is. It was 1100Mhz on core with 1.149V and 1500Mhz Memory. Usually I never play with such high clocks and not proper testing has been done. Afterall, it wasn't so 'standard' :p

By the way, with 12.6 I noticed slightly higher temps. I've seen 60-61C on BF3 while usually never exceeded 55C. I don't know, maybe hot day.
Maybe your card is a little dusty??

Also despite BF3 being fine with other drivers, BF3 in general is very sensitive to GPU overclocking and occasionally requires you to either lower your clocks or raise the voltage. The 7970 I had would run everything fine for hours, and could loop heaven without crashing; plus, I had it at 1225/1650 @1.23v...buuuut with BF3 I would have to bump it up to 1.25v.

BF3 seems to be the true test for a stable oc.

I have 12.6 CAP 1 installed already and play MP3 in CF mode. It runs flawlessly with 12.4 WHQL there's no need for me to even try and upgrade drivers until theres a major improvement. It was quite hard to get my setup to run like it is and I do not intend to fuk things up trying a BETA release.

I have the same problem! Even when I OC little by 1-2MHz!!! So it's not my card... But what's going on??

Well I don't run my games while browsing...
I just say that I have ''grey screen of death'' when I OC my GPU even by 1-2MHz...
I think I will go back to green side, after so many years with ATI-AMD

Are these any different then the official 12.6 Beta? I thought I compared the version numbers of Catalyst last night, and D3D and OGL were the same (thus, any benefits/problems on official 12.6, would exist here?)

First drivers in several months that have no idle clock bug, allow me to disable ULPS and still maintain my OC. It used to be the case when I would disable ULPS the 2nd GPU would get stuck at 150mhz on my 6990, which would result in about 15 fps (!!!) in games. BF3 Eyefinity 5760x1080 performance is also good, just like the May 12.6 BETA drivers. Will keep

First driver in a while that has Server 2008R2 updated AHCI, RAID and USB Filter drivers, yay!

And updated HDMI Audio driver too (which has cured the audio disconnect when I switch inputs on my amp and other minor nuisances too)

Graphic driver? Does it have one of those too?

They fixed the idle clock after reseting overclocking, previous ones failed to get back to proper clocks.
Text looks a bit sharper? or is it just me ...
Will see about video reboots or such in the next few days.

Very interesting. I got my clocks to drop to 150 Mhz on both core & mem when i reset it with AB.
Got to mention that I have 3 monitors hooked to my card. Will give a try very soon.
Hope they corrected the flickering textures in Legend of grimrock title I had only with first 12.6 beta release.

No sticky idle clock bug for me either. The last few drivers gave me that problem. First drivers I will keep since 12.3

Yes, making the driver believe your card is another model, more info on Benchmark 3D web site, look for Modded drivers.
