So what x'D
Should I go for it, or should I stay.

Looking at this review:
http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforc...-sli-review/16

Im having almost the performance of a stock 3 Way SLI of gtx 670, with two cards.
http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3522341

Also, I can play even (wich is VERY power hungry) Metro 2033 @ 1080p all maxed included all DX11 and PhysX features.

I may be lucky and have a card that reaches 1,3 GHz and crunch a 3 Way SLI (stock), but I can have bad luck and receive one that doesnt reach even 1,2 GHz...

What would you do?

Edit:
Nah, I go for it.
Wish me luck

Yeah im going to do it.
My doubts are:
-How long will take?
-Will they test the hardware?

Sometimes it costs more for a company to take the time to test, on the other hand if they're like EVGA, they definitely test. They won't accept an RMA because you say "Doesn't do 1300Mhz". If you submit it saying something it doesn't do i.e. fail failure or bad vram or something, if they check they will just send it right back saying the issue isn't the card, and you'll be out a second card for a good 2 weeks+ and the price of shipping just because you want a whopping 100Mhz.

To each their own, but go for it if it's really that important to you. Just don't be surprised if the new card you get back (assuming they accept it) barely breaks 1100.

RMA'd a 470 once, had a bad clocker that required insane voltages, got back one that was even worse, RMA'd saying bad vram, freezes with solid color on screen, they checked it and said the card was fine. My luck, I was stuck with it.

Again,t his was EVGA so you might get lucky.

16K barrier crunched!
http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3535794

P16028

Just upped processor to 5,1 GHz.
All scores rised.

This was my previous record.

So definitively not going to RMA headaches.

I had a hard lockup a little while ago and so I backed down to +150 core and +450 memory.

I had it at +155/+475 after some tinkering.

Looks like that's as high as it will go. I'm certainly not disappointed with the performance. I just wish the card was quieter than it is.

My replacement card turns up tomorrow so I can get back to BF3 maxed at 1440p. These are actually my first custom cooled cards since I always pull the trigger as soon as new chips are released and I'm loving the quiteness, though they do dump more heat into my case then my ref 680 as my CPU temps have risen slightly. Wish tomorrow would get here already!

I have good news

I finally arrived to a deal with the shop where I did buy the slow card.
I've sent it back to them, not using the RMA procedure, but the right (by law) to return items that are not satisfiyng the costumer in the first 7 days. They will make a refund.

Yesterday ordered another Gigabyte (from another shop) wich arrived this morning; and this time I've had the luck by my side.

The new card reaches 1300 MHz, so now I do have a pair of golden twins. XD

With 15 minutes tweaking, crunched the 3Way-SLI setup reviewed in this page. And most GTX 690 scores I've seen on the other thread.

Now i'll take vacations, will dedicate to play, enjoy the summer and my gf wich needs some attention too (lol).

Nightmare is over

BTW: Graphics Score 20376

Hi folks
I have return my new Msi gtx 670 to the store today

The card was runing like a charm but the fan motor was making so much noise
,and the sound was so annoying that i cant life with it.So i have choose an Asus direct cu II,the fan on idle run at 10% and on full load it goes around 35% to 38% and never goes above 68c.
So im very happy whit the new card.I think to overclock it a bit is there someone who knows how many mhz i should be abble to put on the basis core frequency the card have stock spec

thanks, and try to avoid stock cooling

Nice scores there.
The GTX 670 is a beast!

Does anyone know what can make the PhysX score go low?
My processor, even @ 5100 MHz (HT On) its showing very low results.

What can be happening?
Voltage too low maybe? Any option in the BIOS that I should take into consideration? Speedstep ON/OFF? Voltage in Offset mode?

Hey that sounds like my situation. I also bought the MSI 670 OC but the fan was exactly how you describe so I sent it back to Dabs. Now I'm just waiting on the 670 CU II Top... Might take a few weeks but in the meantime the 580 is still doing a good job.

You wont regret your move.
Mine is not the top version but thats a great card,at stock speed it run near 20C lower than the vanilla card cooling solution. And for the noise theres none,i have made a little fan sething whit afterburner and at 55C the fan run at 50% and at this level i dont ear the fan at all

Managed to increase my score to 16888.http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3576547
+125%
GPU at +140
Memory at +700
CPU @ 5.1

My score was also low as much as 7-8k but i switched on HT and now it's up to 12k. I did go back to an overclocking guide on the asus forum as now sandybridge has been around a while now they understand it better and they have changed quite a bit. So i would suggest it might be worth you looking at a guide just in case you have missed something.

Cool. Can you provide me a link to that thread? We have the same CPU and similar mobo.

Another thing I realized:
Those cards, have different MAX stable overclocks depending on the drivers.
Settings that are ok and pass all stress tests in a driver version, can be unstable with other drivers.

I think we need to wait for proper drivers, as GTX 670 is still a new born card.

The link you asked for. I found it very useful I hope you do as well. I thought it was the Asus forum but its not but an Asus Technical Marketing Specialist, either way he was very informative. http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1578110

I've ordered some nice EK water blocks and a bridge for mine but while they are running so well I not over keen on ripping them aprt.
Even under water i'm not expecting them to run faster just much cooler and quieter

YOU! I need your help! I have a 2600K @ 4.6, 2x EVGA GTX 670 FTW in SLI and 8 gigs system ram on an asus P8P67 deluxe. I play BF3 on the asus VG278 120hz 1080p monitor, and it apprears I am being bottlenecked big time on busy servers and even moderately full servers. GPU usage is 50-60% at times and FPS falls sharply to 50. I have done extensive testing with resolution, monitoring GPU, CPU usage etc and I am CPU bottlenecked.
I am considering a 3930k to help with this, but I don't know if it will actually help in BF3 multiplayer. Can you please share your experience or maybe tell me how 6 cores does vs 4 in multiplayer. For instance, with all settings ultra, on the sharki TV station looking out, regardless of resolution my FPS is like 50-55 and GPU usage is cut in half.
