just out of curiosity what is considered good internet speed? i just moved and ran a speed test at speakeasy.net and my results were 59.11/Mbps down and 4.20/Mbps. Are these good speeds?

That's way better than what most people get these days. In Canada, the average Canadian household have about 5 mbps - 10 mbps lines (depending on the landline technology they use to connect to the net) with either 512 kbps or 1 mbps upload speeds.

I hope that you have a gigabit network at home because 100mbps won't help if you have many devices connected to the network. The overhead causes you to not reach the full potential of the link. When my Intel adapter failed to negotiate at full gigabit (due to a cabling error), I could only reach 33 mbps out of 72 mbps which is what my actual link was.

you'll have to dumb that down for me a little bit delta, i know my Mobo has a gigabit port on it that i use. how do i know if thats how its set up or how do i set it up like that? i have a linksys E2500 router if that helps

after checking the specs on that router it has a 300+300 Mbps cap
