Question XFX HD7950 DD Overclock issues - 05-14-2012, 18:34 | posts: 219 | Location: England

Hello I have had this card OC for sometime now at 1000/1575 20+ power with amd overdrive. Now all games have been running great BF3 ect, I went and bought Alan wake other day and noticed glitches http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBGID9Xsxpw At first I didn't think it would be the OC because other games and benches work fine. Just now I undo my OC and put card back to stock and the glitches have stopped?

What am getting at is if my OC is a bad one would it normally show in all games? Why is it just Alan Wake?
If my OC is bad what's the best way on doing it? Thought theses 7950/7970 can easy do 1000 OC

All help very welcome.

You may need to up the vcore voltage a bit to compensate. I advise you use MSI afterburner to modify the voltages

Read this guide to get an idea of how to overclock a 7950. The guide recommends staying on or below 1250 Mv. Also increasing voltages increases heat output so beware
