seems normal. Just like AMD cards, nvidia ones downclock themselves when under low/no load. Temp is fine.

awesome thanks very much.
I will try to get a shot of it under load, I ran back over the log and the GPU clock hit 1110Mhz?
Memory 1500Mhz if I am reading it right I will try and get a SS tomorrow.

So what do you think about the performance increase over ur 4870x2?
as for the 1110mhz mark, yea, i know nvidia said the boost is suppose to be 1058, but if the gpu is quite cool it will bosst itself to 1110, which is quite good for some1 who isn't too interested in overclocking. But for die-hard overclockers, this becomes a problem, because without proper cooling (stock cooler is out of the question) you cannot reach high overclocks. as the gpu will downlock itself once it reaches certain temperature limit in order to save the chip from overheating. + stock 680 only has 2x6pin connecteors so eventually overclock is limited by it. Which 1 did you buy, stock one or custom gainward 680?
Hope this info will help a bit.
p.s. you can still overclock quite a bit on custom 680's. I tried +175 core, +500 memory, 132% TDP withoiut crashes/artifacts.

Good post, I just purchased a standard reference Gainward 680.
But as I have said people keep saying there card has 2x6pin, mine has an 8pin and a 6 pin.
EDIT:wait a fn minute your that guy who said I had mental problems. try and read ALL the posts, silly sense of humor yes, mental problems no.

all in all, how do you find the new 680?
yea, it looks kinda strange. But i don't really blame gainward for doing it, as reference cooler is really quiet and quite well designed (and not that bad looking imo)

Why have I got 8 pins and why is it custom and what does that mean LOL (sorry about this I know)
To answer your other question I am thrilled with it to be very honest.
EDIT Sorry I see you answered that before I could reply lol the GOOD edition? wow that would be awsome coz quite frankly thats a better card? and I paid for and ORDERED a very standard one lol
EDIT2 needs to be a chat function on guru forums at this rate lol yeah I have seen the good edition it is the next one up from mine, or, well, the one I ordered.

well custom means manufacturer(a.k.a gainward in this case) only uses the nvidia chip and it's own custom made PCB(the whole .
Yea, the sometimes mix the editions on ur order as long as it is a better card with no extra ££s to pay, there's no problem with it.

hehe, nice 1. So you got better card for £20 less than it's retail price congratz. It does look a bit like reference, but not fully the same. And by the looks of it, it's got a black PCB,i so like those.
