I'd call going from the GTX295 -> 560Ti as a slight downgrade...You end up using less power, gaining DX11, but probably lost a few frames. 448 Core would've probably been a side grade.

I went from a Q6600 @ 3.6 to a Core i7 920 @ 3.6 and it was a massive increase. I had a 4870x2 at the time and my fps in literally all the games I played at the time went through the roof. In COD4 I went from 155fps with the Q6600 to 450fps with the Core i7 920.

The only reason I went for my current i7 960 was because it was from a mate on the cheap and it is a D0 where as my 920 was a C0 chip so it overclocks better at lower volts. Plus I sold my 920 for £100 too

lol within that period I would have had only gone through 0 CPU upgrades and maybe smaller side upgrades of more storage or what not. I upgrade GPUs every 2 generations give or take.

Must have a good 560Ti then. My GTX 295 died, and if EVGA offered me a GTX 560Ti as replacement, I would've flipped on them. Luckily, they (like me) deem the GTX 570 as a sidegrade to the 295.

That's a racist comment. I'm just pointing out that if a video card manufacturer considers 295 <-> 570, then a 560Ti would not be a side grade.

Looks like all the benchmarks show the 560 running below the 295, so it is a downgrade. I'm pretty sure 95% of the people here that have owned a GTX 295 would agree with me that a 560Ti would never be their choice of replacement/sidegrade.

As for the racist comment, it is NEVER warranted. Regardless of whether or not I'm a Jew (I'm not), racism has no place in this forum. You don't have to agree with me with my viewpoint, you don't even have to like me, but you embarass yourself with these last few comments.

Lol had 2 295. A 560ti would be a downgrade for a 295. Them racist comments, ignorant people make them when they can't argue civilly or have a case they know is unwinnable. Either way not cool

Lucky he only gets a timeout, Hilbert said he'd get a permanent ban.

@ Cowie, the 448 would be most likely dead on in performance, I'm sure EVGA giving me a 570 is a slight (3-5fps) upgrade.

I don't think it's fair to compare the GTX 295 and GTX 560 Ti on performance alone.

GTX 295 = Higher power usage, DX10, OpenGL 2.1, SM3, limited CUDA and Directcompute

GTX 560 Ti = Low power usage, DX11, OpenGL 4.1, SM4+, latest CUDA and directcompute 5
