Default GTX 680 SLI fan on 100% noise level - 05-05-2012, 00:04 | posts: 1,114 | Location: Canada

For those who would like to know how loud they are.They are loud when trying to cool your overclocked cards for best performance.

680 GTX SLI Fan 100%.I wear headset so noise is not a problem for me.

You need a modded bios to get the fan to run @100%. The non modded bios will only let the fan go to 85% , but ven at 85% it is a bit loud but not as loud or annoying as the cooler that was on my Palit GTX580. That thing was really loud. Anyway I dont see a need to OC the GTX680 especially in SLI because it will play anything you throw at it without any problem.

That's not loud at all.

When I put my GTX460 of 9800GTX at 100% it takes off.

Is that the reference cooler you're testing there? Well, that said, when I push my 560Ti's fans to max it's absurdly loud as well. However, it never gets that hot even if I max out the voltage in Afterburner.

@The_Fool
Yes just reference cooler.The cards stay cooler with 100% fan speed . The noise does not bother me.

@Steve30x
Yes its a modded bios and I always look for a modded BIOS/OR mod myself to get 100% fan speed.
If I do not overclock my video cards,I feel like I am missing out on something.
