Galaxy product manager has posted on his microblog a new picture of upcoming single-slot Galaxy GTX 600 Series graphics card.
The first thing that you’ve probably noticed is it’s length, as this cooler requires more heat dissipating surface. Galaxy’s product manager did not confirm if this is actual GTX 670 card, but if you focus on power connectors, then you will find similarities to reference GTX 670 board – those connectors are situated almost in the middle of the card.
There was a similar single-slot cooler pictured few weeks ago, but it was longer, covering whole radiating section and power connectors were not pixelated. So Galaxy might be preparing a whole new single-slot series of GeForce GTX 600 cards.
As for detailed specfication, they were not revealed yet.

Check the old picture, you can see the short PCB aswell. So what they showed weeks ago was the 670.

The card with the black cooler has two SLI connectors? The reference card only had one.

I think i will never get used to the size of that, it looks strange for a Mid-Range Card. It's a like a Smart which you would never buy
But in this case, size doesn't matter.

Yep, didn't matter. Had single slot.
I mean, when was the last time we see a single slot high-end Nvidia card?

I guess that's exactly why Nvidia designed the cooler like that.

Odd size PCB. But the cooler may extend way beyond it as we see in the galaxy model. I just cant imagine a small cooler used on it for that much GPU power, but you never know, Nv partners can be incredibly creative and surprise us. Personally I would prefer the cooler no larger than the PCB if its effective.. to me the smaller size is a plus.
