It's probably not even worth it to get a 580 if you have 2 gtx 285's in SLI.

Personally i would wait until one of your 285's dies or until 700 series comes (and buy a cheaper 600 series).

Unless you really want the dx11 for something.

I guess I was a little impulse-buying prone when I wrote my previous post. You're right. If Microsoft launches a next-box that runs in x64, that will be the game-changer that will force me to upgrade For now I can run almost every game flat-out. I would be nice to do DX11, but I don't really need it.

Keep within voltage limits and you won't shorten the life of anything, it seems crazy to have an expensive cpu like that and to just leave 25-35% of its performance on the table.

Nvidia don't release WHQL drivers very often, its just how it is.... Makes it more difficult to complain when people get problems you see as they are all running beta drivers.

When I run BETA drivers, I get graphics driver failures at random times, often involving changes in content while web browsing, or working in Maya. So I personally perfer not to.

Some betas are often decent but the ones we've had so far for the 680's have all been garbage or mediocre at best
