Really dumb move from British ISPs. There's obviously a lot of ass-kissing, Hollywood pressured Sweden's anti-piracy bureau to take action in the past and are probably the ones pushing for these kinds of policies to begin with.

Overall it really is a dumb move, because it doesn't solve anything other than restrict the users just that much more.

my ISP is O2 which is one of the ISPs blocking it, now when I go to thepiratebay.org it redirects me instantly to thepiratebay.se, was it always like that and I didn't notice?

They're blocking at the IP level, you need a proxy to get around it.

I use Open DNS anyway but everything looks like my ISP is not blocking the site at the moment. BE is my ISP which I think is part of O2.

BE are just awesome, best ISP in the UK, imo. It's true they're owned by o2, but they operate as a separate company and have a more lenient Fair Usage Policy.

I just wish they offered fibre, I wouldn't have to think twice about signing up.

Pirate Bay is just one of 74747584834 torrent websites, this doesn't change anything, besides, there's already ways to bypass it easily.
