Default Amd 5670 Flickering / Resing Problem - 04-29-2012, 07:52 | posts: 2

Here's a video of my problem. I have been been struggling with this forever now and I can't fix it and it has made my htpc setup worthless. When you watch the video, pay attention to the borders.

As you can see, the screen resizes and blanks out randomly. I uninstalled and wiped the latest ccc and put on 10 (something) and it seemed to help. Not sure. I have tried forcing options, always 1080p, with varying refresh rates. I've tried using the HD config options (1080 / 24, etc.) I had this card working previously but now it's all screwed up. The denon blanks out like it is getting a different signal or something. I have other HD components (bray, Xbox 360) and no problems.

Btw, I have a 5670 on xp plugged into to a denon 1911 to a Toshiba 55" 3d TV (don't know exact model.) I am using 1.3 HDMI cords. Could that be it? Not 1.4s?

What am I missing? Please please help. It could be such a nice setup and I am so very frustrated.

Thanks, Josh

I am not 100% sure but I swapped out the cable for a 1.4 and the flickering went away. Not sure if it was the 1.3 or if I just have a cheap broken cable. Don't buy CHEAP CABLES! Hopefully that will solve it. Watched a movie and it didn't flicker at all.
