Default Overclocking Sapphire 7850 - 04-28-2012, 14:03 | posts: 178 | Location: Bulgaria

I open this threat for everyone who want to share overclocking setting for 7850 video card. This card appers to be a marvelous overclocker which hits the performance of a much expansive cards like 580 and 7950

My present settings which appears to be stable are core 1100 / 5800 at 1.138 voltage.

I continue to test the card stability with higher settings.

Please post your overclock settings!

P.S. Use Asus GPU Tweak to past 1050 core barrier!

I just have my HD 7850, I've never overclocked anything before, and I'm scared lol I don't know if my PSU can handle the overclock, I don't even know if overclocking has something to do with the PSU... I have 600w...

What do you say? what should I do? help please

Yes, it's an awesome card, like night and day coming from my 4870.

I've only used MSI Afterburner to overclock mine and it doesn't allow voltage tweaks without some modification.

I'm going to try the Sapphire TriXX tweak program, I hear that allows voltage tweaks, not heard of the ASUS program you mention but will give it a look.

Edit : @MashGM, your PSU should be fine, just overclock the card a bit then test that it's stable and temperature's are fine then up it a bit more and re-test, do this until you run into problems and then just dial the overclock down a bit until it is stable.

Thank's I already did it, it seems to be very good, I didn't modified the voltage, but I went from 30 - 40 fps on battlefield 3 to 40 - 55 and I didn't overclocked to the max potential... is it safe messing with the voltage? does it consume more power?
