Technically, most of the internet users around the globe do illegal stuff ALMOST everyday.
I'm getting mixed ideas here. Some say its illegal but some say its not.
The concrete thing here is that it will be VERY illegal if I show my recorded shows to the public or upload it to the internet and get profit from it.

There IS no issue. This thread is just... um how can I put it... the OP who has probably never used some pirated copy of something has doubts of whether recording a show on his DVR (the one provided by his cable company) is illegal.
For me, I just don't give a **** if it is or it isn't. I'm from Latin America. The land of Free Pirats
Let's set sail !!!

Indeed, and sorry for thinking you were a boy (its a common assumption around these forums), I'm not a fan of Piracy at all I'm not vouching for it, I wish there was no "need" for it. I was just joking around about it.
I did learn too that this forum is piracy-free.
So, where are you from (just out of curiosity) ?

Yes, it's illegal unless you own the right to copy. Going 56 in a 55 m.p.h. zone is also illegal.
