So i decided to upgrade my monitor after using samsung syncmaster 2333hd 23" TV as my pc monitor (it is absolutely awesome, especially for the price i paid for it). But i kinda want to get something a bit bigger, 27-30" preferablly. thought it would be nice to get some suggestions from ppl who r using something of that size.

I got both Asus VE278Q and Samsung S27A950D.
If you are on a budget, the ASUS VE278Q could be bought for about 300$-350$ or lower if on sale. It has 1 Displayport, 1 DVI, 1 HDMI, 1 green audio out and 1 line in. It also has speakers which works with the line in, hdmi, and displayport.
Its an led with 2ms response rate and has 1000000:1 Contrast G2G ratio. Just google it but i already memorized its features.

If you want to try 3d and have ati radeon gpu then the S27A950D is for you or for its 120hz refresh rate to get 120fps in games. I got it for 579.99 and its awesome, thin, light and beautiful. It has all outputs like the VE278Q but it has no speakers.

Another great budget choice is the 27" LG DM2780D LED backlit 3DTV, it cost me £255.

Spare glasses are £22.

Instead of shutters it has passive polarised glasses.
Crosstalk is practically eliminated, theres no flicker, the picture is really bright, the glasses weigh nothing and no batteries.
The only downsides are its half resolution 1080p (but you wouldnt know!) and the sound is tinny.
It works over a standard HDMI cable so no worries connecting it.
The 3D is stunning, and I'm quite fussy.
The depth can be turned up really high at high brightness due to lack of crosstalk.

It has a Digital TV tuner which is alright, nothing special.
But its second ace up the sleeve is the 2D to 3D conversion, its pretty damn good.
It works especially well on 2D Blu Ray films.
Proper 3D Blu Ray is as good as 3D PC gaming, superb.
My current favourites are Skyrim and Dirt 2.
3D TV broadcast is as good too.

It uses Tridef for 3D gaming, its pretty easy to use and gives seamless 3D.
I havent had trouble setting up any game after working out that pressing '0' on the numpad gives you the setup options
The NVidia half res problem with Tridef doesnt apply, the display is half res anyway, so it works on both AMD and NVidia just as well.

Its a shame there isnt a full 1080p 3D version, the only full 1080p res passive 3D display I found was a TV costing at least $4500.
Passive is ace.

Thanks for replies, guys. yea, at first i wanted a 3d monito', and i want 27" one, but after i checked their prices ....... it's like 500£ for the cheapest one, and i don't really want anything smaller than 27". On the other hand i might try that LG monitor, it's quite cheap now. Hopefully pice won't go up before i make up my mind.
Thnx again ppl. Really appreciated
