This looks more like what I wanted to see for the second game instead of the crap we got.
A sequel to the first game.
I hope they deliver.
EDIT:
Wait.
Click to show spoiler I feel like a retard. It's fake?

Great video, thanks for sharing! That has exceptionally high production values if it is indeed a fake. Lets hope that this is real and that LP3 is the true successor to the original, as the sequel failed to live up to my expectations.

Being developed by the studio that made Turning Point: Fall of Liberty and Legendary: The Box.
Yeah... I don't want it for PC.

Blimey Japanese game developers really do seem to have run out of ideals for new games. We just seem to get tired remakes and updates of games that have been running for ten years or more and are really past there best.

I refuse to get interested in this.
Until a demo, or hands on feedback... or something. Spark Unlimited's last two titles have been less then good (Legendary is playable, and at times... okay). Turning Point is absolutely ****ing awful.
I have little faith in them being able to deliver on this.

Few things of note
Quote:
You play a dude named Jim who is a joe bloggs type working class miner caught up in a hellish situation
LP3 is officially a prequel to the first LP game
The game is set back on planet E.D.N.III where the first game took place
It takes a leaf out of Dead Space survival horror approach
Mining vehicles can be used as weapons and when entered are set to first person mode
Boss battles take on a more boxing incapacitating flow and you can climb out to attack in 3rd person on foot at any time if you gain the upper hand
Random huge weather shifts such as ice storms can sometimes come into play and can freeze up your vehicle forcing you to climb out and abandon/unfreeze them by shooting the ice off

And it IS coming out for PC (in addition to 360, PS3). All peged for early 2013.
But they are using Unreal Engine 3 ... say goodbye to the DX10/11 support from Capcoms MT Framework.

If this game won't for PC then the lack of tessellation and of DX10 nor DX11 due to hardware limited for current consoles. This true condition, LP3 (w/o PC) will be worse graphics than LP2 (PC). lool!

lp1 is one of my very favorite games on pc, it looked great in dx10 played well and had a nice story.
lp2 was crap and I didn't enjoy it at all.I had high hopes for 3 after the cgi video but after seeing who developing it and that its using ut3 engine I've lost all hope

I don't think it would matter if this game had DX12 graphics.
Crapcom have proven they are incapable of making good games.
They get worse year on year and I wouldn't expect anything but another nonsensical attempt from a japanese developer to attempt to emulate westen game style...and they miss the mark so bad that it just looks retarded.

Batman Arkham City had DX11 support, Unreal Engine 3.
on the other hand i very much doubt Capcom would even consider adding dx11 support for LP3, i do like capcom games but honestly LP2 was tripe.

I still have no faith in this.
Coming from Spark Unlimited... yeah, zero faith. After Turning Point: Fall of Liberty and Legendary, there's no way I'm going by a few trailers.

Not a day 1 buy, but definitely, miles better than LP2. LP2 had crap character graphics, and compared to that this one atleast manages to look decent.
Okay UE3, I don't know how good it will be, but I was impressed with MT Framework and LP1 back in the days, 2007. Thing is, when LP1 was out, the cold temperature setting, I loved it. The plot was fine as well, and luka was a loveable character. Plus the game managed to run better than C1 in the same timeline. LP2 was just a co-op grind. This one looks a little more plot directed. I'd love the game if we get to see Wayne in the end arriving with Gale on the planet. Besides I think they're in the timeline when VS weren't developed yet, and the people retreated from the planet (story from 1).
