Default Sapphire 7950 OE at GTX 680 clocks Unigine Heaven 3.0 Benchmark - 03-29-2012, 19:06 | posts: 82 | Location: Toronto- Canada

At max unigine settings, the 7950 is about 50 points (more or less) behind the gtx 680 benchmarks but it also depends on which cpu is used.

At normal settings with tesselation on normal, the 7950 is about 200-300 points behind the gtx 680.

Have anyone else tried benching their 7950 with 680 clocks?
I think that 7970 could beat the gtx 680 at max settings and maybe tie it at normal settings.

I recently built this computer with i5 2500k since i will buy a better ivy bridge when it comes out. My 6 month old build has phenom x6 1055t with 6950 2gb radeon. I bought the 2500k since most people recommended it especially when gaming compared to 2600k or higher for 100$ more.

yeah, the 7990 would probably cost between 900-1000$ or more since a single 7970 is 600$. The 7990 will use two 7970s but with a lower memory clock.
When i tried benching with 1180/1600 overclock on my 7950, i got over 1350 points at all max settings and over 2400 points on normal settings with tesselation on normal

Nice!, you are just behind by about 20 points against my i5 2500k overclocked at 4.5ghz

I wanted to use the official 12.3 8.951 drivers but it keeps crashing everytime i install or update from either 8.92 or 8.95 or 8.95.5. It gave me bsod last time and i had to use driver sweeper

EDIT:
I just noticed that you had 7970, I was wondering why you had a higher texture fillrate.
