That's an amazing score but could you repeat the "extreme" run in a more standard 16xaniso and 8xAA setting used by the OP?

Tempted...but are we going to have Compute fixed on these cards?

I got to stop trying to fool myself.... these cards are crap for the modder.
Like a mac of the overclock world....sell sell sell

That right i said it...
lets see
COLD air does squat
Bios mod..not happenig
Voltage with software...not really
Hard mods ok np but if you dont put half an ass from another card on it its done might as well put right in fireplace.
it runs two benches "okish"
that all adds up to POS
OK NOW WHO WANTS TO BUY TWO 475 EACH 2 DAYS OLD

Anyone here experiencing that their GPU clocks will not go "down" back to 324mhz on Core and Memory after overclocking?
I just added a few +mhz in the MSI afterburner and my idleclock is now 1006mhz. Even changing it back to standard clocks will not fix this.
Only way to reset it is to reinstall the drivers, so I'm just curious if you guys have had this problem also?

Currently using drivers 301.10

For the 1st time in a LONG time I think I might wait for the 1st refresh in this round. My 580 loves 945 at 1.1v on air and my mem is way up there too. I get over 8000 in 3dmark 11 and game at 1080p. Cant see a good reason to plop down the dough when everything I play is maxed at 60fps most of the time.. Spending most of my time on Forza 4 with a nice sim wheel. Man I wish that was on pc...

Nope, my card regularly overclocks to 1,137 MHz during games (is that the same for everyone else or do the cards all go to different values?) but always return to 324/324 MHz when I return to the desktop.

I've tested a large number of games now (over 30) and all of them are working fine. However, some games such as Call of Duty MW2/MW3 and Black Ops will crash when Applying the graphics settings (though the settings are set when I next load the games up). Something about a "Direct3DDevice9: Present failed. An undermined error has occurred". Serious Sam First Encounter (not the HD versions) also hang if I change the graphics settings too. The HD versions and Serious Sam 3 BFE are fine.

Also, I still can't play either GTA IV or Episodes from Liberty City as the game gets locked in a loading screen loop where it endlessly shows the character art and never finishes loading. I'll try reinstalling but both were working fine with my GTX 580.

I'm wondering if some of the issues are because these games aren't coded to recognise the GTX 680?

P.S. I've set the Power Control in MSI Afterburner to 125% but what does it actually do? My auto-overclock still maxes out at 1,137 MHz and doesn't seem to go any higher whether that setting is on 100% or 125%. I wish there was an article that detailed how GPU Boost works because it seems to be an awesome feature, truly innovative for NVIDIA graphics card, but I don't think I'm getting the best out of mine.

Check out the whitepaper. It describes how "GPU Boost" is intended to function.

Remember i was not talking games at all just 3dfm thats it.
The card is great for enthusiasts if they got alot of money and an engineer degee.
it will take bios and "hardcore vmodded driver" to get this card up to speed for us noobs.
I just hope its me being a dumbass and others are tearing up older fm benches

I didn't think you ever failed at OC'ing...

I don't have the nerve for hard modding.... Considered one for decreasing temps by removing the heat spreader, but can't seem to convince myself to do it since I'll have to sell this card to help fund my next card (wife's orders).....

Yes at stock speeds, I will edit the post to reflect that.

It will improve over time hopefully, and I'm running the WHQL's that they released for them (and personally I think they're crap drivers as I've had a few issues).
