I think Dear Esther looks great. What bothers me about it is the price. For only $10, it can't seriously be that good of a game. Maybe if they highered the price, it might seem more worthwhile. Hey you might want to add spoiler to chrono trigger because I still plan to beat it someday.

I think you are the only person i've ever heard complain about a game being too cheap.

it was one of the true classics of the 90s and a very underrated game.

the game borrowed a lot from the movie Roger Rabbit (a real person in a toon's world) + included full motion video and real actors like Christopher Lloyd, the actor from Back 2 the future, etc.

Further Skyrim (TES 5) adjustments, it's time consuming both to modify and play the game but it's also very fun, ha ha.

Currently I use Fraps (Free version, BMP format.) and then convert via IrfanView (freeware though still quite advanced.) to a PNG format with very little (1x) compression, thumbnails are ideal for this due to the size of the actual images but the quality is pretty good.
(JPG is usually OK though and retains excellent file size even if very high compression can make certain parts of the image fuzzy or similar.)

And on topic here's the last set of Risen 2 images I took, pretty sure I've done all that can be done in the beta (or well, demo more accurately.) version, looking forward to April when it's released in final form.

Why 1x compression? Not worth it. I personally optimize all my png's to the max. Quite noticeable space saving, it doesn't take that long to convert them at maximum compression.

EDIT: Well, I kinda was thinking about 0x compression but still
