Nice. Do you know if the driver by itself can work in Windows 8 CP by forcing it through device manager?

Thanks

EDIT: Also can you post the release notes in a spoiler, getting a 404 error from that link.

So what version are these exactly? I'm pretty confused...notes are for 12.2 and talk about a future 12.3, file names are 12.2 but catalyst version is 12.3...

Edit: 12.2 are up on AMD's site..

Im guessing they can't show up as the 12.2's, as were now in March, the 3rd month, Feb is the 2nd month.

Just remember, these are the pre-certified drivers that were released a couple of weeks ago, so you already have them on (if you sre on the pre-certs. of course)

Which will also show up as the 12.3's, as they are these drivers as well.

Wow, I'm actually confused. So are these a mixture of 12.2 12.3's combined? Man AMD are really mixing it up these days.

No, they are the 12.2's, its just like i said above, they can't be called 12.2, as Feb is now over, the proper 12.3's, are also coming this month, around the 21st.

The drivers are dated "02/14/2012" so the date shouldn't matter (not sure if it does though) and they still showed up as 12.3 last month

They would have showed up as 12.3 back then, as they are these drivers, they have just released them twice, just this set has the WHQL certificate.

they obviously skiped the 8.94 code base, which is why everyone is confused...

8.95 would normally be 12.3...

I wonder what the official 12.3's will be on the 21st then, another 8.95 ?

They've gona about it all wrong imo, if they were not going to get the 12.2's out in Feb, then they should not have bothered, should have just let everyone wait until the 12.3's around the 21st, as their WHQL is broken anyway, so wouldn't make a difference.

doubtful.

Have you noticed the 8.96s have been labeled as 12.x?

that might be the answer

edit: I heard a rhumor that 9.95.5 will be 12.3

They should scrap this whole monthly WHQL, its just a farce.

You got them having to release drivers twice, releasing older drivers after they've released newer ones, so lots of people are going back to older drivers from new, total farce it is.

Okay, so outside of the naming confusion, (How about we call them twelve point twee?), has anyone actually done any benchmarketing to see whether they offer any performance improvements?

Thx!

That's exactly what I posted, so the whole point that 'date' has anything to do with what catalyst driver 'version' it is doesn't make much sense, anyway no need for further confusing the matter.

What about the Skyrim pixel corruptions and the broken Windows green and red textures?

Are the gone with the WHQL?
