skyrim scales poorly with multi gpu in general, & i doubt a cap can fix it without driver dll updates

swtor no idea, havent people tried forcing profiles yet? think someone said age of conan was nice

With SWTOR the GPU usage is there for the most part. But there is some micro stuttering and negative scaling happening.

Like for me I get better performance using just one of my cards than both of them. Even though the GPU usage is 80% or more most of the time on both cards.

Also the game hates AFR mode, the performance is even more micro-stuttery in that mode.

I'm just glad its playable right now on one of my cards, they're not beasts by themselves and usually I have to use them both at once to get any kind of good performance in a game. Right now im 30-60+ FPS at all times and luckily I don't chug in PVP. It's actually pretty smooth.

I'm still impatient as hell waiting for the CFX profile to come out though!

This along with 12.1a seems to fix some stuttering in Saints Row on my bro's 6990.

ya, the usage doesnt matter if there's no scaling

when borderlands launched, it was as if the gpu usage was mirrored, there was literally no scaling at all, just double the heat & power

Hmm unlucky for some i guess.

I can confirm extremely capable quadfire scaling in Skyrim; 60+ fps @ 3560x1920 with 4x AAA. 2560x1600 also scales productively from triple to quad 6970. Thankfully, with lost planet crossfirex profile saints row 3 maxed now runs 70 to 100 frames with 70-80% per gpu utilization now, as we'll. Witcher 2, imo the years best looking release, runs fully maximized from 1600p up @ 99% usage & i can somehow push ubersampling from 25 frames per second minimal, and the venerable ******-in-crossfire Lost Planet 2 now flies 90+ fps with all directx 11 features in effect. BATTLEFIELD 3 pegs all cards at 99% from 1080p on up, and even metro 2033 with dof blurring vision whilst hogging resources is cruising above 50 fps in near 7 megapixel perfection. Only true problematic title is the phenomenal Arkham City..even operating in DX9 :[ really hope the driver team can remedy such with hasty resolve.

I'm using latest 8.94 (22 december) with is own cap included, with my 6990.
For BF3 improving, should i use this 11.12 cap2 instead ?

Which have the most newer (better) profile for BF3 ?
This 11.12 cap2 or the 8.94 22dec. ?

Thanks.

I installed 11.12 cap2 and driver 11.12. I also uninstalled Logitech Setpoint for my Logitech G5 mouse. Now, I am just using the native drivers for the mouse. The sensitivity response to the buttons on the mouse is much faster now.

BF3 is working much better. I do not know which of the two actions was more contributory.

What exactly is that meant to do any way? If you have SetPoint installed its meant to over ride every setting under 'mouse' in control panel or so I have read.

This cap seems to have made BF3 smoother and more fluid to me. Tri Fire 6990 and 6970. I don't believe it is a placebo effect of my ever hopeful mind, but you never know lol.

With 12.1 these cap's make battlefield 3 much smoother in my opinion, and the framerate seems to increase in some areas, I would definitely recommend these instead of running no caps!

I am running the 12.1 preview drivers and if i install this CAP BF3 just goes to sh*t. A lot of stuttering and general unsmoothness.

Without the CAP it runs fine although 11.11c + 11.11 CAP 3 was noticeably a bit better.
