I was getting BSOD's daily (mainly when in firefox) with 12.1's - these 12.1a's are much much more stable

there was a post here or on rage3d, only civ5 uses the OPTIONAL multithreaded 'command lists', bf3 apparently does not right now, & that the drivers ARE multithreaded (separate from the feature people keep asking about)

but anyway, since MultiThreaded11.exe appeared in the drivers a couple months ago, they're up to something so it must be coming soon

Ye I know it's really called driver command lists, but more people know directly what one means if one says DX11 multithreading(even if it's not the correct choice)

AMD should really hurry up, there's little use for devs to use it if only one vendor supports it

Why has this driver been stickied? Don't think I have seen a driver thread stickied before. I nearly missed the thread as it was at the top of the page!

Thanks asder00. Downloading now.

I get warnings during installation. Looking at the log, showing AMD APP SDK Runtime as fail status. Tried installing again. Same thing.

Rebooted and tried again. These drivers do not install correctly for me. First time ever... SDK runtime is now not even installed.

It's a egg and chick problem. Don't blame AMD for not have command lists if not many games support it. But game developers choose not to implement it because AMD are dragging their feet like a stubborn child.

This time, I think I'll blame AMD, not the developers.

Me too, It's part of the DirectX 11 API

It should be support by the hardware, and then the game developers.

API->Hardware->Drivers->Game

Anyone else having trouble getting a custom profile for BF3 to stick? I forced anti-aliasing but it doesn't seem to work in-game. I'm sure I picked the right bf3.exe...

Direct-X 10-11 doesn't support Anti-aliasing to well, from what I know. If MLAA don't work, try this.

It's weird, but with these drivers BF 3 works just awesome, much smoother than 11.11c, all 8.94's and 12.1 Preview.

I found this driver gave me a boost in 3dmark11 (about 60 points), but Skyrim now has an odd microstutter in certain areas.. going back to 12.1 for now.

Yes. I used Driver Sweaper. Maybe it's not faster, but I don't know what to say, the screen is SMOOTH.
