In the config file (or user interface with RTSS v4.3.0 beta 3+) you can "enable compatibility with modified Direct3D runtime libraries".

The version being utilized by Afterburner doesn't seem to allow that change in the interface, though I can add it to the config file (the line isn't there).

The "Config" file is in ...Bundle\OSDServer\Profiles...
How exactly should the necessary line read? ...also, would it be possible to download a newer version of RTSS and paste it over Afterburner's OSDServer directory?

Yes. That's exactly how we did it. The download link is somewhere in this thread: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=354551

EDIT:
Got everything installed now, but enabling that option just causes Skyrim to hang with a black screen. Thanks anyway guys.

Use it on TESV.exe, not the launcher.

Did you tried enabling the "weird steam hack" on SMAAs ini? Andrej said that it had something to do with overlays n stuff.

That said, SMAA does practically nothing for me. I just dont see less jaggies but more like differently aligned jaggies lol

Have you tried Ultra? IMHO, SMAA is better than even the highest levels of MSAA for me...

Original title and post completely edited; this is not an SMAA issue after all.

Just thought I'd also add;
Using the Afterburner OSD is important for me to find out vram usage in real time and to take screenshots with modest file sizes. The default in-game screenshots in Skyrim are typically ~17mb each for me (very high res).

go to ur smaa folder or the files u put in the game dir.

go to this file:

injector.ini

and edit the quality there..i have set ultra...ignore the toogle keys. i changed them...

Quote:
[injector]
;toggle shader keycode
key_toggle = 109

;make screenshot keycode
key_screenshot = 44

;reload shader files keycode
key_reload = 0

[smaa]
;smaa preset one of {SMAA_PRESET_LOW, SMAA_PRESET_MEDIUM, SMAA_PRESET_HIGH, SMAA_PRESET_ULTRA}
preset = SMAA_PRESET_ULTRA

[misc]
;set to 1 to improve steam overlay compatibility
weird_steam_hack = 1

hope that helps
