I don't really care about the clothing or lack of it, I was complaining about the blurry backgrounds that everyone seems to love. They seem to serve no purpose other than to make their wannabe girlfriend look sexier. I personally play the game to kill things and to admire the scenery, not the character. I have a wife for the other things...

It has been posted before i believe, but this Mod is getting better and better. Today Version 1.16 has been released with the so much better 3D Ropes.
Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM by Brumbek
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=8655
Quote:
Skyrim is the greatest open-world RPG ever created and includes fantastic 3D character and creature models. However, playing the game for even one hour made me notice Skyrim also contains many ugly 3D models. More precisely, there are quite a few low-polygon static meshes such as architectural elements, clutter, furniture, and landscape objects.
It would appear that while the artists devoted a large amount of time to create the races, creatures, armor, weapons, and major buildings, the more "boring" 3D models that make up the game world got severely neglected.
Hence, this mod edits many 3D models to improve their appearance and to fix many of the ugly seams and other oddities present in many of the default 3D models. The ultimate goal is to improve about 200 to 300 of the worst offenders. This will take a long time, and I'll release incremental updates to include new 3D models as I finish them.

It changes Meshes of Objects from either 2D to 3D or enhances the current 3D Model.
Some of his models come with his own HD Texture and cannot be changed because of the mesh changes.
Barrels for example can be installed with the Vanilla Textures thru a custom setup in NMM.
So you should be safe to us it

Maybe peoople just want to play as someone they can't relate to so that it feels more like a character, plus I hate dressing up guys

ps.
Anyone looking for a first person (esp based) horse riding mod could try this one as it seems to work well, I'm using the simple version A file with a resolution of 1920x1200.
First Person Horse Riding - Version 7 by Dan Caldwell
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10122
Quote:
1. (Optional) Remove previous versions of the mod and optionally create new clean saves.
2. Download Latest Version
3. Copy the archived files to the Skyrim Data folder (should be something like C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\Data)
4. Enable mod (horsefp.esp) via the Skyrim Startup Menu
5. IMPORTANT - Load a save then enter a dungeon or cave. Exit the dungeon.
6. Get on a horse and zoom/scroll in all the way.
7. Enjoy.

Yes, it's the one linked by Whiplashwang, but as it's till got many bugs I haven't really taken the time to see how well it works.

It's called Beautiful Whiterun.
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=12110
And another interesting mod.
Little Barons Interior Decorating aka LB-ID
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=12643
Quote:
Adds variety to glazed pottery, adds varied flower pots and planters throughout civilized Skyrim, small purchaseable statues, player placeable paintings, and miscellaneous gew-gaws for your home decorating pleasure.
Also adds a bit of dirt to the large empty pots in places like Proudshire Manor, removes many of the ugly 'wall baskets'
About half or more of the paintings were converted by permission from screen shots taken and posted by fellow Nexus members. The paintings are named as 'painted' by them in game, and these members are listed below. Thanks again!!

hi all looking for input on enchanting, ive just spent the last 5hours shooting dears and filling soul gems to get my enchanting up to lv100 and im now ready to put two enchantments per items i use,
i play as a single hand weapon and single handed magic NPC, and wear light elven armor, im level 43 and run in master difficulty with a few other mods to make it harder and well at the moment i get my ass woop by just about everything so its time i sorted the enchantment
ok so what setup for a one handed / mage type player do u advise if i was to enchant all armour and weapons in my situation?

is smithing broke?
i have made four items with 28% smithing upgrading enhancements on each which in my calc equals 112% then i have a piece of armor that is rated 51 and i ware all four pieces of 28% smithing upgrading items and then go to the upgrade bench and go to apply the legendary upgrade status to fine the stats of the armor is only 92 not the correct 108?
why is this?
ps i have 100 perks in smithing so its not this?

Forget that you had magic on offhand, and just get +one hand dmg and magic resist.
Only thing that magic on your offhand is doing is keeping you from blocking with a shield.
Unless your mods completely change the way magic works then you need to specify what your mods does.
