Originally I was gonna buy Diablo 3. And then I learned that you could buy gear in the game using the auction system, using real money.
I don't care about Diablo 3 anymore..

Yes...you CAN. Doesn't mean you have to. It's an optional thing. You also have the option to use in-game currency.

The game was developed for PC first and is being ported to consoles. The game's graphics are on par with every other DX9 game on the market. The game isn't based on it's graphics engine though.....the game is based on a story line. The game's content should be the most important part of a game....

That's what I was thinking too.
It's good news that it is coming to the consoles as it allows more people a chance to play the game. I've never personally understood the need for 'exclusives' anyway as I'd much rather just own one platform for all games not have to buy different ones to play their exclusive games. As it is I own all three current consoles plus a PC when I'd rather just own a PC.

I think even the 'hardcore!!!' PC gamers will admit the right click spamming was some serious RSI $#!+ ( or whatever they call stress injury these days ).
I don't get the exclusivity thing either.
Some of the best games graphically in recent years have been multiplats. There are also plenty of games that control great on both m/k and gamepad. I don't even care if it makes the game harder...it's a hell of a lot more comfortable.

The problem with multi-platform is that PC gamers are the ones that get screwed with poorly coded, unoptimized crap. If the devs would take their time and do it right....there'd be no problems. Of course, that would require gamers to learn some damn patience....

The art style is utterly wrong with the third serie, looks like WoW.How can you make a turn like this in the visual style, from a dark-gothic style to a cartoon stylized art envelope.
In terms of game-play it will not match D2 either it seems.
And how anybody can like the idea of buying items for real money,it is so snobbish and noobish...

That makes no sense at all.
Dragon Age Origins was also multiplat game.
It had horrible AI, generic story and dragged on forever ( not in a good way either ).
DA2 had better AI, story pacing, voice acting, graphics. The only negative was the re-used environments. But I'd take DA2's re-used environments over the bland environments of DAO.

d3 was in dev long before they even thought about brining it to the console. besides, bliz has already said that they have a seperate team working on the console version. so your statement is flawed

Yep, DA2 is far superior imho. Also Diablo came out on playstation, did that make it a consolised piece of crap game? No, it was legendary. love seeing morons writing a game off only because it's also coming out on consoles.

Diablo3 being released on Consoles will have absolutely ZERO impact on the PC game. Diablo3 was in development for roughly 12 years before Blizzard decided to do a console release. WTF would they suddenly decide after 12 years and several rewrites strictly for PC gaming....to screw PC gamers over??? It would make absolutely zero sense whatsoever....

although DA2 had better AI and voice acting, i was disappointed with the easy-mode combat system and the revamped skill system. it became your typical hack-and-slash from the tactical/strategic game it was in DA1.
and what about the levels, world map and story? levels were either, re-used or the same maps with some areas closed off, world map is basically just a 'menu' of the places, and story is much more linear than DA1. ~_~
so although DA2 improves on the technical aspects of the game, it sacrificed gameplay in order to do so.

i feel being multiplat before, is different from being multiplat today. before, devs put more effort and thought than just "copy-pasting" their game into different platforms. i know it's more than just 'copy-paste', but you guys know what i mean.

it's not that D3 is going into consoles which i don't like. it's the possibilty that D3 gets compromises just because the game system won't fit well with consoles and/or its audience.
anyhow, i really hope gameplay doesn't get sacrificed because i wish to play D3 when it comes out. D1/D2 gameplay is what I'm expecting from D3.

It is not about an idea or my idea,it is about keeping the visual identity or at least a resemblance of the previous titles.
If you didnt know there is a intensive component of every game called visual identity to which the story and gameplay adheres. Here the cartoony style is not adherent to the story and setting.
The WoW influence is present face it or not.
And also,I am no fan of Blizzard or anybody, you sound more like it...
And the community driven game sentence is plain stupid as the one you like how the firm you pay games for dont listen its customers, wait a min the whole post you did is stupid IMO.
