One thing I do hope they give us is ample storage space or at least a way to get more of it. I have a tendency to keep lots of junk and what was available in the beta is nowhere near the space i'm going to need.
You could buy additional storage in the beta. No reason to assume you won't be able to do the same when it goes live.

Goes to show I don't pay attention to the small stuff. I didn't even know you could buy the extra storage slots in the beta.

Yep. They weren't cheap due to the length of the beta, but they were there. Think the first batch of extra slots was 2000gold

as with the other games i've played, that's likely to happen. the community then gets divided into "power gamers", those who does spend ****loads of money on the game. And the casual gamers, the ones who play for the fun of it.

You can still play all in the same room/house as long as there's some sort of an internet connection. I don't understand the big deal about no LAN.

uuh... probably because there's a HUGE difference between playing over the internet from the same house, and playing over a LAN? One being only limited by the speed of your network connections... which i don't think there's a router available anymore that doesn't offer gigabit ethernet ports. The other being limited by your internet connection speed, ping, etc...

Even so... there aren't very many internet connections that are even 100Mbit, and have basically no latency.

donno why people crying about no lan thing...

i am glad that blizz went this path with the no lan/no offline mode, this will hopefully reduce the number of hacks coming on...but also there were people who played the d2 offline mode, went to b.net and had a cry they had to start all over again -.-..

just fyi this game isn't a huge bandwidth eater either.

the only reason i can see it not being a huge bandwidth eater, at least in comparison to MMORPG's and FPS's, is that there aren't nearly as many human players in the realms. But it's still a bandwidth eater, and any game no matter what the situation would run with FAR less lag on a LAN.

And offline or online, i don't see it really doing much to prevent any kind of hacks. People will still try to find some way to tweak the system. They've found ways to basically make you start from square 1 in Black Ops and i believe other CoD games' multiplayer, which i believe since after World at War has been stored server side, not client side.

So people are basically pissed because they have to run with a 100ms connection instead of a 5ms one? Because in a game like this... it makes little difference.

Well... the idea of bringing up ping was brought up when you pointed out that it was possible to play with people in the same house over the internet.... which, just doesn't make sense. That's like using your cell phone while at home to call your girlfriend who is in the next room to see what she's doing, when you could find out much quicker by just taking a tiny walk.

A little vid I found on IGN detailing Inferno difficultly. http://uk.ign.com/videos/2012/05/06/...r-inferno-mode
For anybody who thinks the game won't be difficult enough I think you need to see what this guys says.

Yea... don't even have to watch it, but i know in one video i watched, they basically dished out the same statement that the folks at From Software say about Demon's/Dark Souls. Prepare to Die.

I dont mind the 150ms i got on the beta. My complain is that i diont feel as free as in d2 about characters creation, you cant up mana, life strenght and stuff each level anymore. If they keep it that way ill be disapointed.

Kinda surprised to find out my local GameStop is actually having a midnight launch for Diablo 3. For a strictly PC game? Think that's the first time.... well.... EVER.

In my area they have that for anything Blizz. The WoW ones are usually creepy because you get all these freaky people standing line and it's impossible to start a normal conversation lol.... went to two midnight launches for WoW expansions, but after that I stopped. COD ones are pretty cool.... a lot of normal people hangin around.

Well... i can say that i'm glad i actually took the time to play the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier beta... because i now know that i'm sure as f*ck not buying that game on launch. Gameplay is kinda fun... but it seems like it'll turn into BF3 for me. Fun for a week, but bull**** afterwards. Plus the controls seem just atrocious. i don't really see the point behind having L1 do a rough aim, and pressing the right control stick to aim down the sights. Yea... it might make a bit more sense with a cover mechanic... but not so much when you're trying to have a gunfight from behind cover. clicking a control stick to get precise aim is annoying as hell. Only downside is that i actually paid for Playstation Plus in order to play the beta... but hey... it's $50 for a year that saved me $60 that i'd regret spending in a month.

SOooooooo.... looks like i'll be swinging by Gamestop tomorrow to tell them to switch my pre-order over to Diablo 3. Maybe i'll look into a different game to pre-order instead of Future Soldier, too....
