My 560Ti couldn't handle D3 Beta at "max" settings smoothly.... Maybe they're cutting back on the graphics now?

Something is really wrong with your PC, D3 works fine even on HD 5670 "maxed".

at that res, your cpu bound anyways. one of my older rigs has a pent 4 ht 2.4ghz cpu in it with a gforce 7800gs and i played d3 on it. with all the settings turned to the lowest it can go, i can get between 15-30fps.

You don't need the disks if you still have your cd case with cd keys.

Never played any of the Diablo series, but I find myself looking forward to Diablo 3.

Is the game easy to get into?

The first 2 games were dead simple with a few basic RPG elements. Very easy to get into and highly addictive!

Thats good. I remember seeing a friend of mine playing the first Diablo game, but I never liked it.....especially compared to Baldurs Gate..

Diablo 3 on the other hand, really interests me. I think I'll play the Barbarian first, as that class seems to be the most beginner friendly.

It's a lot more action based than bg. I would suggest you read up about classes and builds on the official forum to get an idea what would be the most fun for you to play.

If you're talking BG it's more like Dark Alliance which had more action.

I can't stand these types of posts! Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but this one is just plain wrong! I've seen several people make this type of comment, yet they can never eloborate on it. Honestly, I think they are just trolling. D3 plays NOTHING like DS3, other than it being fantasy based and isometric. And maybe these people should try playing D1 & D2 again before trying the D3 demo. Sorry, anyone saying D3 isn't like D1 & D2 are just plain wrong.
