I hope they have optimized the game engine better for current hardware this time.
One of the few remaining pc only releases left now and I hope they keep it that way.

How do you mean? It was very well optimized. Graphically, it's right where it needs to be, intense, but also has the option to look like WarCraft 3.

Blizzard never goes for the latest and greatest, and bsides, what's wrong with the way they did it? I think it's a beautiful game, and runs great.

40$ USD for 30 hours of gameplay, plus new additions to the editor, new MP game modes, and lots of new units.
Pretty good if you ask me.

A game that relies so much on the CPU shouldn't be a dual core game with a release date of 2010. :/
That's something they'll never be able to fix unless they rebuild the engine to properly support quad cores. Shame on blizz.
I don't own the game, but friends have told me if you play some 2v2 and everyone is in one area fighting I think even the better rigs get FPS dips due to ****ty dual core engine. That shouldn't happen.

...
I've played 4 VS 4 and not gotten any FPS dip, on the rig you see here.

It's CPU heavy because of the immense detail of each unit, there is tons of physics going on in it. It can take advantage of my CPU 99%...so...I'm confused how it doesn't support Quad Cores, but my CPU hits 99% on all 4 cores.

^this
WoL eats up alot of cpu. but the good thing is, its using all my cores evenly. so its pretty well optimized to me.

QUESTION!
I'm too lazy to find this out using the internet but will SC II Heart of the swarm be an expansion or stand-alone? (call me a bug fanatic if you will) but I really dislike the protoss and even more so the terran factions and it will be really annoying if I have to get SC II wings of liberty as well in order to play the Heart of the swarm
