Hi,

I am using MSRI Afterburner for quite some time now with the series of the last betas. It is a fantastic programming doing a GREAT job for undervolting and fan control.

But nevertheless I want to point out a problem/bug. Sometimes after system start the fan control is not in the mode it should be.

The USER DEFINE button is highlighted and the green frame around the "Fan Speed" button is green. So my own fan profile should be active (around 10% of fan speed) keeping the gpu at a temperature around 50° C.

But the fan is rotating from system start with 50% of the max speed (shown on the fan speed slide bar).

After clicking TWICE on the USER DEFINE button the speed directly drops to the value defined in my profile.

Would be great if this bug could be hunted down.

Thanks for this cool piece of software.

Regards,
Bodo

Get rid of CCC applying its own fan speed at startup.

thanks for pointing this out. I will test this. Does only complete deinstallation of CCC help?

Maybe some kind of warning when CCC is installed or some kind of test whether the set fan rpm are really used might solve this problem for many ATI users as I assume that a lot of people have CCC installed.
