Default Beta Version 7 280.26 driver test - 09-13-2011, 12:08 | posts: 88 | Location: Belgium

SO i am one of those lucky users with a GF550Ti that ain't recognized, cause i got to use older drivers to get the gpu folding to "C" my card.

Now with the latest drivers 280.26 WHQL released, i am gonna test to c wether The gpu folder recognizes the card now, since i rather have recent drivers...

GPU Folder is finished in about 15 minutes from now, so gonna try it withinh the hour.

I keep u guys posted here to c wether it does or does not work.

Hope fully good results

Me

One remark i've found already : with previous driver i was able to Lower GPU usage with the "cpu usage" slider, when i put that at 60 % the gpu folded around 90 %. But that doesn't work anymore atm, still testing a bit, keep u posted

2nd remark, at this point i am folding project 6803, before these drivers i got a project start, gpu starts to fold, and then it stays at max frequency till folding end, Right now it folds in "blocks" so it starts, goes to 30 % then to 70 % then too 100% for about 15 minutes, and then drops to 0% (all gpu usage) and then it starts all over again. Maybe i am better of reinstalling the previous drivers...

Any comments would be greatly apreciated :

Kept jugling around with this cpu usage setting to get card to keep folding instead of start stopping, so rolling back drivers, too much trouble, so for now i go back to the 267.59 drivers, will test the next set that comes up.

Same with newer beta version 7, and when lowering gpu usage slider, the card starts to throttle 100% 0 100% 0 ,...

So still using older drivers

With advanced GPU WU's, i can't even lower the usage, cause then it strats to throtlle even more. Just keeping u guys informed.
