yea the one i got it from was for India and Brazil (idk 1-2 months ago).. lol i got lucky by India, but in the end to really get the full steam key i had to use Singapore as location by this AMD steam key generator site.

, idk if its the same link and if it will work for you, i tried again but now it detects region lock.

Anyway all you need to do is vote for one of those AMD participants, then it will redirect you to some AMD quiz, answer everything correctly (4-5 questions) and you get a free cdkey that can be activated via steam.

But first you will need to enter your email when you vote, in next quiz steep type it again and you will get your AMD activation key at that email and then follow the link to get a steam key, here

Just to clarify for anyone who went to the site in the original post before it was removed and got a key to work, you may be in for a shock soon (your Steam account may go bye bye).

The link to keys posted in this thread appartly have nothing to do with AMD contest etc, the keys are most likely 2500 keys stolen/leaked for a Steam version of the game (and well you know how Steam treats things like this - see quote).

So who hacked steam and when? And what info did they all get? Kinda worrying when someone just happens to steal a ton of keys from the leading DD service. Plus nothing like this has happened before to my recollection at lest.

I may have worded it wrong, i don't think they were stolen from Steam itself, they may have just be stolen keys for Steam.

EIther way I guess then it comes down to did people grab the keys knowing they were stolen or were some thinking it was that contest thing? I think it would be overboard to just outright ban or seize those accounts, just invaldating the keys should be enough and a warning about "3rd party promotions" and the like.

I'd be hard pressed to think anyone would think that they were from a contest when the site simply listed thousands of keys in 1 post that simply said "Free Dirt 3 keys" and nothing more.

As Steams policy states, it's Zero-Tolerance for using keys posted on the internet and as they were posted on the internet well that's that. You never know, Steam may go easy on people but considering the policy i would recon not.

Not really.

On the SSA it states that there's a zero tolerance to use keys posted online, as such if you put in a key you find on a forum (more so if it's thousands of keys posted at once) then frankly your gonna get whats coming to you.

Anyone and everyone should know that if you just onto a forum and see thousands of keys (hell even 1) and you use one then your asking for trouble.

The rumor is, that this keys were got from AMD promotion, so they weren't stolen. I would not worry much.
