Hey Gurus.

I'm looking for some kind of smartphone, not an iphone, with a keyboard, and preferably a screen bigger than 4 inches. I was looking at the Nokia N9 but apparently the OS is terrible. Is there any droid or WP7 phone you guys could recommend me, and which is better out of the two, or merely a matter of taste? In the UK btw if that effects anything to do with availability.

nokia N9 doesnt have a physical keyboard lol, is the N950 that has the keyboard but is a "devs only phone" so forget it haha, what about the E7? its 4inch, you only care about the keyboard and the screen size?

n9 doesnt have keyboard. and the OS isnt terrible per se. its just that the n9 is using meego and earlier this year nokia announced they were abandoning meego. nobody wants to play around with a dead OS. it will do basic functions well but there wont be many apps.

e7 is good if you dont care too much about graphics, apps, or gaming.

motorola has their milestone series and one of the droids with slide out keyboard iirc, both using android. advantage of android is that there are a lot more apps and games available, and these phones pack a lot more of a punch compared to the nokia.

nokia e7 runs at 680mhz with 256mb ram iirc. the motorola milestone xt883 launching soon will have dual core 1ghz processor with 512mb ram.

I can't believe no one said the Samsung Galaxy S2. I'm going crazy waiting for one myself.

Then again, the OP wants a keyboard - not sure if any variants of the S2 have keyboards (I personally hate 'em), But the Galaxy S had one variant with a keyboard (was sold on Sprint in the U.S.).

The Motorola Droid 3 has a keyboard. I think its called something else in Europe though.
I haven't seen any decent WP7 phones with a keyboard yet. I went from a Droid 1 to a HTC Trophy and while I do miss the keyboard, you get used to not having it after a few days.

physical keyboards are old school, the on screen ones are just as good if not better.
