These don't look too exciting from the release notes. I was hoping that the new FXAA or SRAA had finally been added to the driver properly otherwise why jump from 275 to 280 series? There's no mention either of performance improvements or bug fixes for Crysis 2 under DX9 or Dragon Age 2 which is worrying.

And why do NVIDIA place so much focus on 3D when it is of minority interest to most of their users? I never install the 3D components but the release notes make it sound like I'll now have no choice. I hope not as I have no interest in 3D whatsoever as I can't see it properly anyway (I'm one of the 10% of the population who cannot view 3D).

    LMAO! No. Real work :D

My thoughts exactly! Oh well, still looking forward to giving them a run. I'm kinda hoping for a fix for my text corruption in Games for Windows Live for F1 2010 when SLI is running.

These better contain the BF3 Alpha SLI fixes otherwise they have royally screwed the pooch.

Here's my report on your Alpha EA.

"Broken until nVidia fix it. End."

Can anyone confirm whether the 3D components are installed without choice when using the Custom Install option please? I hope this is not the case as they've been known to cause issues with games such as The Witcher 2 so I really do not want them installed when I have zero use for them.

I have a choice not to install them when I select Custom Install. I assume you uninstalled the old drivers first and used Driver Sweeper?

you can still uncheck the 3d vision stuff. as for the da2 issues, the lighting and periodic shadow corruption i was experiencing is now gone. at least on my end. i havent had a chance to test crysis 2 yet.

You misunderstand me, I won't be installing these until later when I get home from work. However, I never uninstall drivers, I always install over the previous ones, and choose not to install any of the 3D components.

I certainly do not use Driver Sweeper either except when switching between AMD and NVIDIA or vice versa cards (to clean up driver remnants post-install).
