setting up s-video in media center

in windows 7 has anyone been able to setup s-video input from cable box without setting up IR Blaster.

I have a hauppauge 950q usb tuner and there software is buggy and would I rather use media center.

media center does show video on s-video but it wont let me finish the setup because I dont have a IR Blaster

as anyone been able to fool or bypass the IR blaster check?

bump, this is second thread now I noticed no body is bothering to read, or are you guys blocking me..

anyway....

I got windows 7 32bit in vmware and I install a virtual ir blaster from HAVA and ran media center and it ran setup for s-video input through tuner without asking for ir blaster. ran ok too, stutter sometimes of course because of vmware and not be real system.

but I can get the virtual ir blaster install in 64bit windows, not compatible.
