weird stuff, maybe those that are having this white tone to it use some MOD that interferes with it?
SMAA works fine here, although its not so effective if used alone, i need at least 2xaa to eliminate some distant lines, same with inject FXAA..

right im trying the default nvidia profile 290.36 for skyrim. no mods enabled, custom config btu that shoudnt matter imo
copied d3d9.dll , smaa.h and smaa.fx to the executables folder. (that should be enough ?)
this is the result (in the spoiler)

Screen goes overly bright in Mafia 2 too. In Skyrim I'm forcing ambient occlusion and use 8xMSAA in game. Works fine with injected FXAA but not with SMAA.

okok
What i do, similar to you about the injection of the SMAA v1.0 it self (since that's what is needed to be done) BUT i dont use the nvcp at all, directly nvInspector(v1.9.5.5). With that same driver of yours.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
never had that white annoying look, no mod/mod. maybe the nvcp is causing this ? i dont know

cant be nvcp, i havnet touched anything. its all at default atm.
ofcourse i tried custom settings first before i restored it to default, but it makes no difference to me.
also tried default config files this time, so the game is default at everything.
still the same white blur

very disappointing it is
edit: at the same time, AA 8x all at max ingame is already very nice, just frustrating, ain't it ?
well certainly find a way, look at wat shaderlord(among others) achieves.

Quote:
Download and install CFF Explorer. http://www.ntcore.com/exsuite.php
Make a backup of your original exe just in case something goes wrong.
Run CFF Explorer.
Click the folder icon or go to File -> Open and browse your PC for TESV.exe.
Click on File Header at the left, find Characteristics at the right, and click the Click here blue button.
Tick App can handle >2GB address space.
Click OK.
Save by clicking the disk icon or going to 'File -> Save.
Overwrite the file when it asks you to.
NOTE: If you use this method, you need to keep the backup of the exe file you changed with CFF Explorer.
When you update your game, you will need to copy the backup exe back to folder and replace the edited exe file.
Go to the folder which has the executable file you changed.
Delete the current *.exe file.
Rename the backup executable back to the original name, now you can safely update/upgrade.

Always take your screenshots in lossless format. I the convert mine in into lossless png format for archiving. I use png or jpg (96-100% quality, no chroma subsampling and progressive encoding) for web use. I try to avoid jpg's if the size isn't too large. Sometimes it's better to use png's (like when posting desktop windows screenshots).
Use GIMP, XnView or something else for converting.

Quick comparison, sorry not the best examples, again..
NO AA

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...globe/noaa.jpg
FXAA+ sharpen (sharp. value 1.6; 0.15) by somedude 10.7

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...xaasharpen.jpg
SMAA 1.1 (i moved the camera too much, but you can see that building in the distance)

http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...globe/SMAA.jpg
edit: photobucket resized 2 images - heh i hit 1mb mark, but you can see the difference.
FXAA+sharpen combo still looks the best imo, it makes more detailed distant objects and removes this fine "blur" filter. *Check distant trees on the left*..
