Default Fifa 12 PC same as Fifa 12 Console - 06-07-2011, 16:06 | posts: 2,357 | Location: SA

Okay guys PC Gamer confirmed that PC gamers are getting shafted with Fifa 12 console not coming to the PC (Yet again!)
But I have uncovered something on EA Origin(EA's digital download service) AKA EA downlaod manager!

READ

Quote:
Pre-Order Exclusive: Only on Origin - Two FIFA Ultimate Team Gold Packs per month for six months.

Revolutionary changes to the most popular sports game on the planet. FIFA 12 brings to the pitch the game-changing new FIFA Impact Engine, a physics engine built to deliver real-world physicality in every interaction on the pitch. Gameplay innovations inspired by the real-world of football make FIFA 12 deeper and more engaging. All-new Precision Dribbling delivers a higher fidelity of touch on the ball for attacking players, while Tactical Defending fundamentally changes the approach to defending by placing equal importance on positioning, intercepting passes and tackling. Plus, CPU players have been infused with Pro Player Intelligence, the next generation of player intelligence and performance.

Transformed to look and feel fresh and new from pre-match to final whistle, FIFA 12 delivers an authentic Match Day experience, faster and easier navigation with a new menu system, and over 500 officially licensed clubs. Additional features will be revealed in the months ahead.

Features

Tactical Defending - Fundamentally changes the approach to defending by placing equal importance on positioning, intercepting passes and tackling at the right moment. Tactics and timing are crucial. Defending is now as engaging and meaningful as real-world football. Maintain your team’s shape for greater success.

Precision Dribbling - Enjoy new ways to take on opponents, more time on the ball to make decisions, and complete control of the pace of the game. Utilise close dribble touches in tight spaces, on the wings, and even while fending off an opponent. Now there are new options in 1-on-1 challenges, especially when taking on fullbacks in the corners.

FIFA Impact Engine - Two years in development, the new physics engine is built to deliver real-world physicality in every interaction on the pitch. Experience an infinite variety of natural and believable outcomes in every contact. Players feel more resilient on the ball, push and pull during the fight for possession, and recover from light challenges more easily, preserving their natural momentum. The Impact Engine monitors contact between players in real-time, analysing the force of the collision and impact on the body to detect True Injuries, creating a deeper more challenging Career Mode
The above are the main features of Fifa 12 console.

Are EA ****ing with us?
Does this mean we finally get the same version as ****box and PS3?

Normal FIFA 12 PC should be the same as FIFA 11 Xbox, so the new things that FIFA 12 will bring to console won't make it to PC's.
I doubt they won't release a PC version of FIFA 12 at all.

I thought it was confirmed that the new Impact Engine is for the Xbox 360 and PS3 only and won't appear in the PC version. I don't see why it can't be included since even a mid-range PC is more than capable of outclassing either console but I guess we'll have to wait and see. I suspect that we'll again get a cutdown version based on the previous year's engine with updated stats and licenses, etc.

Then why is the Impact Engine included in EA Origins Fifa 12 PC features?
LOL, We could get our money back after buying the game or they can get sued(depending on country) for putting down false information?
Hope its not.

I was pisssed of about the real lack of real player faces in Fifa 11 PC eg. Gyan from Sunderland, Oshea, Hernandez, Menez just to name a very few.

Can Darren or anyone confirm this problem in Fifa 11 console?
Thank you

Guess that is simply a mistake. They haven't announced the feature list for the PC version yet so they just used what was avilable (which of course is somewhat false advertising)

I do have FIFA 11 for both the 360 and PC but apart from gameplay differences in the engine and different interfaces, the player models appeared to be identical between the two versions with the same mixture of real faces and generic ones for the lesser known footballers. I wouldn't have expected any different really as all versions of the game across the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 will share the same assets to cutdown on development time.

A little something to please the FIFA PC Community.

Not only has the first screenshot been released, but it’s also been confirmed by EASportsFIFA that the PC version of FIFA12 will have the same engine and features as the Xbox360 and PS3 versions.

It’s been public knowledge for a while but it should be confirmed in a press release later today, hopefully with a little more detail.

The first screenshot looks the tits, click it to view the large version.

I'm glad for FIFA fans

So the PC version will have the Impact engine then! Great news indeed as there's no reason to even consider buying the 360 version. Sweeeeeeeet!

Sorry, Thank you for the post. You should make a different thread "Fifa 12 same as console" or something! Lets spread the word!

@Hodgeson

Who do you support ? (Football)

This has been nothing more then a fantasy for me! Fifa is one reason I am a PC gamer. I started with Fifa 95 and have bought everyone since(Even though they sucked 2007-2010)

@blesner - Well, I don't really support any team to be honest, I just enjoy playing the games. My local team is Hull City though.

Rugby league is more my sport as I go to watch Hull F.C. play. Shame there aren't any rugby league games (I played one on the original Xbox six years back that was OK though).

They looked at Valve's financial figures with 30 million users on Steam (probably 10 million legit) There is big money to be made on the PC, EA just finally clicked.

Think they always knew that, but probably not for a game like this, but with alot of people using TV's as monitors these days the market for these games is alot bigger than in the past.

Don't know about Steam though, never saw this on there, will be using Retail/Origin for this anyway.
