Canada has been enforcing this for a while, I'm not sure why. It just unnecessarily wastes your bulbs.

Does seem odd, as no point having them on when its the middle of summer, 200 degrees with the sun blazing, i can just switch it to my sidelights i guess, as they are only little square ones just below the main ones lol

DRL (daytime running lights) are mandated in Canada. DRLs and an o2 sensor change were the two things that needed to be done when a Canadian buyer came down and bought a car. DRLs are now a programmable feature.

DRL's have been mandatory here since the 80's. To me, a car looks odd when it's driving around with no lights on. I believe you're fined if you're caught driving with no lights.

They still aren't mandated in the U.S., although they're pretty common regardless sense manufacturers tend to just do it for all cars they make due to selling them in two markets. My van has them because it was made in Canada, but I drive it down in the States.

Yea.... they are quite smexy cars. Kinda looks like a cross between a Golf and Jetta. The new Jetta's are quite nice looking. If i could sell my Smart, that's what i'd get.

Yeah, I love them. They look so demonic yet tame at the same time. VW really needs to make a supercar out of that body style.

Hi mate, only had her 2 weeks. The car is limited to 155 like all bmw`s. Ive seen a video on youtube of someone with the limit removed and doing 177mph! I did 0-100mhp in about 11 seconds the other day.
I had 160mph out of the RX7 once but I had to let off the gas before I got any faster.
Cheers mate.
