HTC Desire Z or Samsung Galaxy SII?

Galaxy s2 all the way!! Got mine today and its amazing. bigger screen, faster cpu... u love it! Amazing in every way.

desire hd runs on android its the up and coming os for phones and in a short while pc,s too iv got the desire hd and all i can say is wow!!! its the best phone iv ever had!

Only galaxy s2 has a dual core 1.2ghz processor, more ram, better screen, it's thinner, lighter... running the latest android as well... oh, faster browsing, better loudspeaker... the list is endless, the galaxy s2 is atm the king of phones. iPhone 4 has nothing to offer and while the HTC sensation is nice, it's not quite as good as the galaxy s2.

Yeah, i saw a Galaxy 2 earlier this week, and build quality, looks, and sceen quality, it is on a different level, and while i only saw it on the phone screen the 1080p video quality looks fantastic.

My GF has the first Galaxy, 10months on, and it still looks shiny, a decent case is a necessity for phones that costs as much as they do these days.

Yeah, ruins the look, but when your as clumsy as me you just need one.

My brother is the same, he dropped his caseless HTC Desire HD a few weeks ago, last time i saw him so scared was when he nearly dropped his son lol.

of those two, i'd go with the samsung galaxy sii.

right now im trying to decide between the motorola atrix and galaxy sii.

the samsung has bigger screen, amoled, better camera and gingerbread dual core optimisations going for it.

but the motorola has higher resolution screen (only lcd though), bigger battery, tegra2 with geforce gpu and access to tegra zone for games. oh and the motorola is a lot cheaper to buy outright.

3months before I can upgrade, But S2 is what i'm gonna get!

A lot of the new HTC's are getting locked down too making custom ROMs quite hard.

Someone too has managed to OC their galaxy S2 to 1.5Ghz

just updated my SGS2 to the latest firmware and rooted it. Also have the nvidia opengl plugin installed so I can play tegra 2 games. the phone is amazing!

well... just tried a few games... Samurai II runs silky smooth, great graphics. The Pinball game is outrageous, really nice graphics. Dungeon Defenders crashed on me... haven't really tried other games... oh, Backbreaker THD worked, but there was a few errors popping up and some missing textures, so I got a refund. But Samurai II and Pinball HD work a treat and they look amazing. not being funny, but this phone is phenomenal, running the latest firmware, rooted and in a next week or two I'll finally have it set up the way I want. it's sooo fast! best piece of kit since... well, ever!!!

Someone managed to root the Thunderbolt first day it come out, and break the encryption on the bootloader the second day.
