ArtMoney crashed L.A. Noire when I tried it. It found 7 addresses with 59.94, six 4-bytes and one 8-bytes, so I changed them all to 119.88 and upon switching back to the game it crashed to the desktop with an error. Doesn't seem to work with the retail disc version but then neither does FRAPS or Afterburner which is annoying as I'd love to take some screenshots but can't. Grrrrrrrrrr!

Ok, I searched 59.94000, Float Point...

2 Addresses.

Changed the first one, 60FPS, got to try this out...someone should make tis an auto-load hack.

Oh wow...yeah, it works awesome. The WHOLE game just responds better. The devs should just do this Officially in a patch.

Glad it worked for some of you.

I am not sure about the retail version Darren, as my copy is the Steam complete version.

I think the voice acting goes out of sync with the lip movement though, could be some other engine limitations too but still it's fairly minor but probably not worth the additional work (or well costs.) required to patch it.

I have to put up with the 30fps cap because i keep getting the slow motion bug from the cap unlocker in vital situations (chase scenes especially). I could probably attribute it to my processor being the main cause as I noticed that in the same spots where the slow motion bug happens, stuttering occurs with the cap on. But that would be weird as it seemed rather smooth with the cap unlocked, no stuttering at all. Mmm

I have heard of the slow motion bug.....I see alittle slow down here and there...but nothing that is too bad...it is better than the 30 FPS cap, at least for me....also i do not notice any problems in the lips not syncing up with the words.

This is great news! note only for LA Noire, but it suggests GTA V will support Directx 11 (if not Directx 11.1) too.

(Directx 11.1 releasing with Windows 8 and is supported on Radeon HD 7xxx cards and Kepler)

I doubt GTA V will have Directx 11.1, despite the supposed significant performance benefits over Directx 11, but Directx 11 support would still be a big win. I guess they see themselves obligated now that Saints Row 3 has Directx 11 support - they don't want to seem backwards compared to that.

I just reinstalled this to check it out and can't tell any difference. The 30fps cap is still there and it still stutters. DX11 performance is worse than DX9 and there is virtually no visible difference apart from the tree leaves now look smeared.

It's just for performance as far as I understood it so it shouldn't look any different other than what the DX11 SM5 shaders might change which is probably minimal.

While it is nice that the developers have added DX11 support (I certainly never expected them to), I'm not seeing any real performance improvement as the game is still locked at 30 fps anyway and, as such, still never feels as smooth as I'd expect it to be even though it doesn't stutter or anything on my setup.

Unfortunately, by also using DX11, NVIDIA card owners lose the ability to force to AA, which IMO offered a huge improvement to the image quality as the in-game FXAA, even on 3, looks very poor with very noticeable jaggies on cars. With forced AA the jaggies are virtually gone but only if you use DX9 and use a 16:9 resolution (I had to use 1920x1080 on my 1920x1200 display for example).

Still not fullscreen 16:10 either. Good game though but I was kind of hoping that DX11 support would have brought with it better anisotropic filtering (why is it still 4x max. and not 16x) and anti-aliasing. Sadly not.

Never got a chance to try this last night, doesn't look like i was missing much though.

Likely just developers using the PC to practice some DX11 features which i think we will see alot of this year.

Don't think this means anything about DX11 in GTAV though, this game, and it's engine have nothing to do with GTA.

Max Payne 3 should give us more of a clue though, but i spotted at least DX10 support in the Nvidia drivers 9 months ago.

Maybe, i don't see a great need to bring out a DX11 performance patch for a game with animations locked to 30fps.

Might be for low end DX11 GPU's on things like laptops though.

HaHa, considering these days so many PC gamers judge graphics based on a number and not their eyes, i wouldn't be surprised.
