Anyone else notice weird flickering shadows in DA2 with these drivers?
I went back to 270.61 and the problem goes away. Weird..

Install MSI Afterburner and use a custom fan profile. I'm using it for my GTX 580 and my temperatures during Witcher 2 haven't exceeded 72 C with 99% GPU usage. I have the fan profile set to 40% until the card hits 40 C then it increases 1% for each 1 C rise in temperature. Even at 70% speed the fan on my card is fairly inaudible over the low-level noise of my case fans.

Guess you don't know about Sandy Bridge and the overclockability of it. They can be overclocked that far with stock cooling (in some cases).

Hey, thanks... Thought I was the only one. Hope this gets fixed in the next release. Other than this issue, it's great for other games?

5GHz? not likely, 4 to 4.5? sure, I myself am 4GHz. I don't care if god himself blessed the chip, 2GHz over stock clocks is not a breeze and certianly not 100% stable 24/7...

I havent had that happen but that is a futuremark component. Reinstall should fix it or apply the latest patches for each again.

Can you please show me a screenshot of the diagram you use, like this:

If I press "user defined" and let it as is, would be ok? I'm not familiar at all with that function and want to be careful.

If all games run fine then stick with it, i had to test these because all 270.xx drivers had bugged AA with RE5, anything over 2xaa made blurred image, now its finally fixed with these and on top of that they have the same smoothness as Tesla.

Well I installed this on 3 systems. One with 8800gtx's in sli, one with 460se's in sli, and one with a 560ti. Whats odd is the one with the old 8800's seemed to have had the most improvement. Might have something to do with the dual core running that system but it is definitely smoother than it was. The other two are running great as well although I didn't see any huge jumps in framerates. Also just purchased the Witcher2 and will test it later on all the systems above and report back.

I've been mostly an Nvidia user, driven by the fact that Nvidia WAS better than ATI/AMD when it comes to drivers, alas this fact has been changed to doubt

AMD and Nvidia make ****ty drivers, I can't find a decent set to run with my 3 GTX480 on all the games that I play !

These set of drivers are a horror " as of all the 270 series " with Bad company 2!

Dragon age 2 still shows some flickering and witcher 2 performance is crap !

I thought these would solve all my issues alas they didn't.
Now AMD and Nvidia are driving me away from my preferred platform....the PC....

Seems I should wipe off the dust from my consoles and take out one of my eyes or take off my glasses so I would never see the so out dated graphics with them.....

PC's have always been like this, and since im a tech head first, and gamer second, i can live with this.
There are just too many games and possible GPU combinations for AMD or Nvidia to release a perfect driver, it will never happen.

SLI/CF is better than ever, but its still a buggy, inconsistent way of gaming compared to a single GPU.

Probably, never had SLI or CF, never had problems with nvidia drivers. Liking these so far. Stalker CoP with complete mod was running fine but after about an hour ingame fps would plummit for no reason.

Seems to be gone with this driver. Might just be coincidence though.

I have 2 X58 desktops, an old one and a new build in process.

The old one has a single BFG GTX 295 Dual-PCB in it that worked great, always showed that the onboard SLI was enabled.

When I tested my new EVGA GTX 580 SC in the old one, it worked fine as well - but when I went back to the GTX 295, my troubles started.

I cannot get SLI enabled on it, the option in the 270.61 driver isn't even present.

I've cleaned the slot & the contacts on the card, rolled back drivers, switched to an ATI card and back, all the while using a combination of Driver Sweeper & CCleaner and performing clean installs (not saving profiles).

No luck. As the old system needs to keep the GTX 295 in it to be used as a secondary system, I really want to have SLI back.

Anyone think the 275.27 driver release, with it's advanced SLI-detection, may do the trick?

I've even checked the internal SLI cable between the cards, it seems to be fine and tightly connected on both ends.

I don't have the ability to test a replacement cable, I hear they are hard to find and I really don't want to disassemble the card(s) completely and take a chance on further screwups.

Taking off the shroud is all I'm comfortable with.

Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated!
