Game runs well enough, around 30fps in busy scenes @high/ultra settings. No übersampling offcourse, as it hurts the framerate a tad bit too much.
After I turned off the motion blur (I hate motion blur) the game really looks great. Makes me realize how much developing games cross-platform can hold back PC graphics.
Played it for 4 hours straight, really enjoying myself. I imported my Witcher 1 save (Geralt-Triss-Neutral), but I probably won't notice what the difference is until I start a new game after I've finished it once

Well, I told myself I would replay The Witcher before 2 came out but I never got to it so I guess I'll go with the default choices they've put for me in Witcher 2, oh well. It is almost done installing, too bad I have to go to work in 30 minutes.

M_Stannard:
CD Project releases another misogynistic jaunt into the Mary Sue world of 'the witcher.' There is hardly anything of substance to recommend this train wreck to a discerning connoisseur of RPGs. Every element of its design can be described as 'embarassingly awkward.' Animation, art direction, dialogue, writing, combat. It's a list of sad mediocrities as long as your arm. The fact of the setting and characters being a shameless copy of Michael **** classic Elric of Melniboné series aside, the game itself behaves like a confused child. Does it want to be a brawler with peripheral RPG elements? Or an action RPG with brawler combat? In either situation the designers have failed to deliver on both satisfying combat or a compelling story that ever rises above the juvenile. Look to the masters at BioWare with their latest RPG epic, Dragon Age 2, for inspiration in your future games, CD Project. You certainly won't find it making shallow sex simulators based on plagiarized fantasy novels

and i lol'd really hard at this comment

I got the collectors with graphic novel: http://buy.thewitcher.com/preorder-collectors-en
For some strange reason I got two coins the normal large one and a small one that was in the DVD box. Can any other Collectors ed customers confirm this too?
BTW installing now!
And DA2 can kiss my ass

I hope somebody creates a save-game creator like they did for ME2 and DA2, that way I can just pick specific choices instead of having to replay the witcher 1 over and over to see whether it has a profound effect

The ingame AA yes, which doesn't work on everything, so you'll get a few jaggies.
Unfortunately the übersampling isn't an option form me, as I get 10-15fps with it on.
