If its just for your CPU, you could try a decent enclosed kit, like the Corsair H70. Decent cooling power for a Sandy.
Although, won't cool as much as a custom water kit, but a LOT easier!

Thats quite good!
Mostly global scores I see. Cool.
My paltry 6 points or so are all hardware points.

D/l Visual C redist from MS and re-install it. (no need to re-install Vantage). You may need to reboot.

i had that issue with 3dmark 11 installed something to do with futuremark system info.
do you have 3d11 installed and the lastest patches for vantage?
as for cooling i use a modded cm v8 with two better fans on my gamer i7 920 rig, mega prolima on my 2600k sb setup. For my 2500k i need dice so i dont hurt the chip, it runs too hot with 1.58v for air.
not bothered with water at all except i used a h70 but i get better temps with the mega prolima.
Khalam
bro you have to make sure your ss's are like my sample...they will put the f block on your score..nothing pisses me off more then having a legit score blocked.you can use a link and your bases are covered
really nice 2500k you have here you should do well with it
@lane it would be great if you updated some scores!
@Dublin_Gunner
your a benching maniac they should give points just for that.
today i will put vista on a raptor and 2600k will try alittle vantage and 05 on air i'll get some dice for the weekend.
i got a few cards on ebay cheap 88gtx 96gt 7900gftx 280 and 2 98gtx all for under $200.
when you get a cheap card to bench you have to look at the number of submissions.
ei: a 96gt 512 is a good points card but the 96gt 1g is not for lack of submissions in that card class..just a heads up.for you guys on newer card no worries they will be worth ore points by the day.
we have our work cut out for us...it will only get harder to get spots from here on out...we need 700+ points for just 5-6 spots.
A big thanks to all you guys for trying

lol yeah sure I'll get some award when I hit 100 submission ha! I have a couple of old raptors lying around, might install XP on one and see if I can bench a bit quicker.

Its all counts for the team dude
BTW does anyone know how to boost the XP startup score in Pc Mark '05? I could hit No. 1 for my CPU if I can boost it. The guy in first has a 100+MB/s score for XP startup, and that's how he's first, I beat him in EVERY other score - even the HDD ones!
I wonder if installing XP on a USB key might help boost it....

i think you can run better on vista or w7 that is a hd or ssd dependant bench.something to do with better scoring in certain sections.
iram and raid cards sorta thing.
i'm no good at it,the tricks used by the pros i know did not share much.
pm chispy for tips he held a few records on that bench
good luck you guys i'm off to load up vista
try not to kill anyhing but push it to the limits

I think I've two 10k 36GB Raptors I could raid in Vista/7/XP. AT least access times should drop low enough to give a better score.

Aquamark scores like 80k more in winxp
win7: 140,893
winxp: 222,312
edit: and 3dmark 2000 needs to run in Win98/WinMe compatibility mode or it wouldn't start..

lol that's the truth under win7 my score is horrible, under xp64 it's 200k+
here's something I never understood about the 3dmark series, I've tested this with fraps, playclaw and several other programs..
wonder what the discrepancy is
http://i55.tinypic.com/314yoih.jpg
in testing 01, 03, vantage & 11, all fps checking programs are rigth on in thier comparison of the 3dmark fps readout and the other fps checking programs
but in 05/06 the discrepancies are huge.. in gaming using all fps checking programs along side the built in ones like the BF series, and others, they are also correct in their readout, it's just 05/06 that are hugely different

AM3 and 2001 give crap score under win7 ,,, even using compatibility mode and or special patch for them ..... maybe something with priority can help, but well not success for now..
need think to put an xp on a HDD for get some scores ...
AM3 is higly CPU limited, are most gpu's are now quite too much for it... so yes faster is the cpu, and higher will be the result ... on the 3Dmark01, the problem is quite the same, but there's some tricks with memory and HDD access on some benches, ofc there's still LOD bias too but i never use them. ( really important on3Dmark01)

that's why I dual boot, for dx9 games, win7 is just terrible, so I boot to xp64 and enjoy the speed, where as xp64 on some of the newer games using dx9 mode is just ugly and terrible..

Its either the web test, so ensure you have IE set up, or the transparent windows test. Dont set anything like 'disable visual themes' or whatever in the compatibility tab of the shortcut.
Also dont have any other program windows running above PC Mark.
Had this myself.
