Default Nvidia 3d question - 02-11-2011, 17:31 | posts: 9,317 | Location: 90° N

hello all. i plan on hooking up my rig to my new tv this weekend. its a 52" Sony Bravia XBR HX909 3D series. heres the specs: http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/...specifications
the 3d glasses came with it along with a bunch of other stuff. this tv can enter 3d mode with a press of a button and is pretty cool so far. my question is, do i still need to purchase the nv 3d equipment to play the games in 3d or will the tv and my video card do the job. any info will be helpful, considering im still a newb with this 3d stuff

Hi there ..

I dont know if the classes works with Nvidia 3D ( i think not )

You need to buy the Nvidia 3DTV play package at Nvidia ( gives support for HDMI 1.4 )

When that is done you are good to go ( if the classes works )

PS. I think the 3D vision emitter only works with Nvidia classes ( after a little google )

You wont need the Nvidia classes or the emitter ;0) JUST the Nvidia software and the classes that came with your TV. Then you are set to go ...

Enjoy ;0)

PS. But you can only play 1080P in 24 Hz ;0( " For now "

720P will do 60 hz ;0) So thats ok ....
