Default Inspiron laptop ATI Radeon X1300 won't update - 02-02-2011, 23:16 | posts: 2 | Location: Tennessee

I have Dell Inspiron 6400 and I can't get the ATI Radeon Mobility X1300 display driver to update.

I had uninstalled the X1300 driver, I tried to install the 8.1 Catalyst and it would not install (got an error and it made the setup Exit). So I did a System Restore so the driver would reinstall, then retried to do the Catalyst 8.1 but still got same error.

Seems anything I do will not let me update it. My goal is to move up to Win 7 from my current XP.
