Happy New Year to Everyone!!!!! (but I know today is 2011/01/14 :nerd:)

I am glad to tell everybody that Afterburner 2.1.0 Beta 6 is ready for you to download and play!

The most exciting thing in this beta is the support of HD 6970 and HD 6950.

Now you can tweak voltage of HD 6970 and HD 6950 by afterburner, no matter it uses Voltera VT1556 or Chil 8228 or Chil 8214 PWM chip! Thanks to superb Unwinder!!!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana:

We also have some updates on upcoming new cards in thie beta.... so I will let you guys to play on your own

The download link of MSI Afterburner 2.1.0 Beta 6:
    http://downloads.guru3d.com/Afterburner-2.1.0-Beta-6-download-2604.html

Note for those who use modded 6950 cards. Afterburner provides voltage control only on reference design 6950 cards with 100% original 6950 BIOS and 6970 cars with 100% original 6970 BIOS. Afterburner's voltage control WILL NOT function if 6970 BIOS is flashed on 6950, it is supposed to be that way and it won't change in future versions and any "bugreports" on it or demands to "fix" it will be ignored.

:( , Its not working correctly on my HD6950s unlocked (1536) at 1.30v and 1000 core it crashed or i get a black screen with sound loop on background. I tried one and 2 in crossfire and happenned to both cards , it seems that the voltage its not applying to the cards :/ will wait for a next version that works. My best card can do 1092/1534Mhz on H2O and 1.42v using Smart Doctor.

I didn't test it on unlocked card yet, and I can't see your afterburner on the screenshot so no idea how to help. But please do not turn on unofficial overclocking, overdrive, smartdoctor to test the card with afterburner together. Thanks

I wish users' reading skills would work. Afterburner WILL NOT provide voltage control for cards with hacked BIOS and I warned about it:

I can understand that you don't intend to support 6970 BIOS on 6950 hardware. But why would a 6950 BIOS with only shaders unlocked be a problem? Nothing regarding voltages should be changed...

Such systems shouldn't be a problem. Native voltage controller configuration in VGA BIOS is the only requirement.

Sweet. Will try it out when I get home from work today.

Either way, thanks for your work! RivaTuner and now Afterburner have been essential in giving me control over my hardware for years.

Works as expected on my 6970
Thank you very much Unwinder and msi-afterburner :)

Would it be possible to increase the voltage limit to 1.35V please?

Anybody got a bios to increase 6970 clock limits?

Mine does 950 on the gpu at stock volts.......

Why not turn on unofficial overclocking? What if I want to go higher than 6950 clocks? And overdrive, by saying not turning it on, do you mean, leaving it on 0%? (mine is at 20%)?

our limit is 1.30v. But your bios (also Chil pwm) may limit it to 1.21v, so nothing we can help here.

how far does this program go on volts? I need around 1.35-1.4v for a high oc, is that possible with this software?

1.30v is enough for current ccc limitation. Once ccc limitation is unlocked, we can set it to 1.35v if needed.

my limit is 1620 on the core, will the program recognize this and let me have higher volts?
