Default GPU not functioning properly - 12-15-2010, 19:03 | posts: 1

I have a Inspiron 9400 with the GeForce GO 7900 in it and I'm unable to get video out to the screen. I can get video on an external monitor. I'm also unable to use the nvidia drivers since when I try to load them it fails. Any ideas?

Your GPU is probably dying. That GPU hasn't been made in half a decade and even back then there weren't many. o_o

As Imglidinhere said
It is probably your VGA chip.this is a common issue ,we deal with this almost weekly.
A BGA reflow or reballing your VGA chip should do the trick
