I stopped folding after my first GTX460 went up in flames and took out my computer. Haven't really had time to stress test this build to ensure it's stable enough to fold 24/7..

It wasn't caused by folding....it was an electrical fire...

An client that still uses the same based fahcore as GPU2 big frigging woop where's the promised OpenCL for ATI cards pfft still in CLOSED BETA that's where

Actually, it isn't in closed Beta, it is in internal testing (PG Members). We don't really know when it will come out of internal testing. All we can do right now is to wait for FahCore_16 to be released for ATI/AMD GPUs.

internal testing / closed beta = same damn thing as F@H as we're concerned (pun intended) it may aswell be moon base alpha testing.... simple weekly/fortnightly/monthly updates from Vijay about progress with it would be nice but we ATI users don't even get that much..

so the way I see it if they can't be bothered then why should I donate the cost of running my PC 24/7 365 even a good cause should keep you updated not in the dark,..... Shoot even Greenpeace keeps me updated weekly with what they're upto around the world via email the least Vijay could do is update his blog

Actually, there is a difference:
Internal Testing -> PG Members only
Closed Beta -> Beta Testers
Open Public Beta -> Any Public Members

If you are interested in being a Beta Tester, please read this thread.

Regarding the Blog, Prof. Vijay has recently updated it with information about Servers. Moreover, in earlier posts (Blog and Official Forum), he has already stated that internal testing of FahCore_16 is on going and "expect to start beta testing it shortly (days to weeks)" so I am hopeful about this situation.

hmmm interesting if I use GPU3 systray and this switch on 1 of my hd5770 GPUs -forcegpu ati_r800 I get 2900 odd PPD but on the other without the switch it only gets 2600 odd PPD ,
stop the client add the switch and restart the client and bang 2900 odd PPD

err I thought that with v6.30r2 that switch didn't do anything as the client already knows what my card is without it
