Looking for a 2.1 surround system for LG tv

I'm looking for a 2.1 surround system to go with my LG 50PK550 plasma. It doesn't necessarily need to have an optical digital input. I can connect the audio from the cable box if needed. The tv doesn't have standard rca audio out connections. I need to stay in the $300 range. I don't have a large living room and a 2.1 would suit me fine and I don't really need a high-end system. Just something that will sound better than the tv speakers.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks, but I would prefer a wireless remote. Wired could be a tripping hazard and the seating area is more than six feet from the tv. More like 10 feet.
