ATT causes Windows Live Mail 2011 to crash (Win 7) -
10-21-2010, 13:03
| posts: 4
Due to a problem with ATI Catalyst Control Centre (it was installed but would not run) AMD Support eventually suggested I install ATI Tools, which I did.
Unfortunately, Windows Live Mail has just been updated to version 2011 and the two conflict: with ATT running WLM crashes immediately on launch; stop ATT and WML launches normally.
This is just a heads-up for the developer and any other user who has this combination of softwares. My OS is Win 7 (32 bit). I have no idea whether the same problem occurs with other OS.

Hmm...
Anything to do with 32 versus 64 bit? My version is Win 7 Pro, rather than Ultimate.
ATT was definitely the cause of the problem for me, even after a repair install of OS, WLM crashed immediately if ATT was installed and running. Stopping ATT service allowed WLM to run as I said.
I would very much like to be able to use ATT but...

Add Live 2011 executable names to the exception list, that should fix it.

Sorry, not terribly computer literate. Could you explain more what you mean/how to do this?
Thanks!

I had a similar problem, when I execute ATT, my MSN & SKYPE will crash, my environment is windows 7 professional 64bit (If I closed att, msn & skype will correct).
But I used MSN & SKYPE & ATT doesn't have any problem in windows 7 ultimate before.
ATT version:1.6.9.1481
Skype versiqon:5.0

I have a similar problem:
windows 7 64bit, home edition:
I have created a prifile for pro evolution soccer 6 (forcing the vertical sync), all works fine, but if I reduce to icon the game, I cannot return to the full view: if I do it, the game crashes.
Exactly what I did with ati tray:
General: I chose the exe file;
hardware: the first - use 2D/3D automatic and after - use automatic 2D/3D;
Additional: I have not changed anything;
tweaks: I just put "force Vsync (view).
What's wrong?

problem comes bcs newer versions have GPU acceleration (use directx). Idk if ATT has exception list. But if you could add the exe to it...
