Exclamation Driver Sweeper 2.5.0: Unhandled Exception in Windows 7 64 bit - 10-17-2010, 18:37 | posts: 30

Hi everyone.

I'm updating a computer for someone, and for me, standard procedure in updating a graphics driver involves running Driver Sweeper, then installing the new driver.

However, on this particular computer, I'm not having much luck.

Driver Sweeper 2.5.0 reports an Unhandled Exception when I scan for ATI, drivers.
(This system doesn't actually have an ATI graphics card, but from experience, windows installs them none the less :S)

This system is running Windows 7 Ultimate Edition, 64 bit. I just updated the computer through windows update, (although ignoring the nvidia update within it since I'd rather download it officially from the nvidia website.)

Here's the exception message:

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
I won't have this computer much longer, so if you need any more information, better ask fast
