Back when I was trying out boinc-stuff, I had the problem that on boxes I manage using remote desktop (win2008r2 and win storage server 2008) couldn't access the nvidia card (at all) after I had logged in via remote desktop.

Will F@H be able to use (for instance) a GTS250 on a box where I never log in locally?

From the GPU Guide:
Quote:
9) If you are using Windows Remote Desktop Connection on the system, it will crash the GPU Client. If you have to access the system, you can use these freeware applications, Ultra VNC or TightVNC, so that it won't crash the GPU Client.

ok, that effectively means I won't be making changes to the box (replacing the fanless ati card that's only there to make for an emergency console)

Those vnc setups have ... quite a lot of problems attached to them, I can do without.
